Impressed by the Kruger line, Hayes being the main cog in tonights game. Bolig, what can you say? Has been the most impressive Hog so far in PS. Toughness prevails.

Lavin had another great game. Hutton wasnt as sharp but still held on.

This will be an interesting year.
Interesting that you had audio, even though neither team had anyone calling the game. Was the audio of people in the crowd yelling? lol

I have never seen anyone constantly so snooty and condescending over minor league hockey streams. It is hilarious.

Keep it up!

Martini dresses up like Don Cherry and announces the game through a microphone with no cord that his mom bought him but she doesn't have the heart to tell him that no one can hear him.

That was Martini's Saturday night!!! Isn't everyone so jealous of him that he stayed in and watched a stream???? He so cool.

Mark McNeill has an assist tonight (end of the 1st period). His point streak is now at 7 games, with 2 periods left tonight; 3G, 6A, 9Pts.

If that was included with the $150 AHL package I'd be in instantly. They could use a gimmick like that to increase revenue. A different announcer for all 30 teams with one thing in common: they're all doing Don Cherry impressions.

A few stats that haven't been mentioned yet..
  • Travis Brown scored a goal in a 4-3 SO loss vs. Red Deer.
  • Sam Jardine scored a shorthanded goal for Ohio State in their 3-2 OT win.
  • Chris Calnan had another good weekend. He scored 2 goals (powerplay and shorthanded) in a loss on Saturday, and tallied a goal and an assist in a win on Sunday.

Not one of Phillip Danault's 11 goals have made the QMJHL's weekly highlight packs.. though, a Brandon Whitney save was the final highlight of this week's package.

Mark McNeill scored an empty net goal and was named 3rd star of the game as Prince Albert continued their strong start with a 4-1 win in Lethbridge.

It is not surprising MCNEILL and DANAULT as first rounders back in jr. for a second season since being drafted are dominating in scoring -they SHOULD be doing that..it is expected...

So I would not get excited with the gaudy stats they are likely to produce this season and see it as some great "development" for them -but at least we can give thanks they have not regressed and so there is hope when "go to" guys perform as expected in their roles for the level they are at.

Meanwhile--not good start for Kevin Hayes--only 1A in Boston College's 6-0 pasting of U. of NEW Brunswick in an exhibition game --so it looks like BC doesn't need him to be a go to guy--they still have lots of talent to fill the net and are indeed #1 ranked to start the season --this was the year we are supposed to see K.Hayes "emerge' and tke over leadership and featured role as a go to guy on the team--but if it is this easy for BC to dominate one wonders if Hayes will just sit back and jst be content to 'chip in' when required as a support player --inother words maybe he willnot seize the role expected of him ..if satisfaction to just be a support player and not the dominant go to scoreer sets in -then STan's pick of Hayes much higher than others had him pegged for will look like a huge mistake...
Keep waiting for Hayes to burt out but it just hasn't happened in the 2 years after his draft and now in his jr. year--the time may be wasting away for him to "show us' STAN made no mistake ... if he does not develop into a scorer this season, the bust tage won't be far off .. keep your gaze on the situation with Hayes (nice rhyme, but we had better see results r else STAN will be taking lots of flak for ahuge mistake)...

In many ways Stan was wrong about Hayes, there has been little praise, as our eyebrows they raise, so lets talk of this craze, in the never ending prospect haze, change our ways, and hope he stays, in our prospect maze, winding and twisting for days and days

The $150 AHL package for the Hogs is tempting but the not sure the quality is worth it and if the NHL does come back I'll hardly ever use it. Decisions decisions.

As is Carter himself. I hope to see him get a shot this year, if there is a season at all.
