Call me crazy, but I love them... Although not sure what to think of the sombreros on top of the numbers, those almost look dirty.

Hideous and hilarious.

Ice Hogs have now gained immortality whenever the topic of bizarre or worst hockey jerseys comes up.

Shalunov has been posting excellent offensive numbers in the MHL. Gets little mention or respect on the RU boards b/c they just want to talk about the top picks. Shalnov is having a great series and is the top scorer for RU.

Stephen Johns and Notre Dame are playing Kevin Hayes at Boston College tonight at 7 EST.

It'll probably be worth watching. A shame I don't have a TV right now. Also have plans.

Listening to the dying seconds of this BC-ND game. BC is up 2-1 with about three minutes left in the third.

The last two times ND has gotten into BC's zone, Johns has been the centerpiece of a play that sounds like it should've scored, but they've been denied by some Parker Milner heroics. The first one he kicked off a tic-tac-toe passing play, and the second one he had a good shot at what looked like an open net, but was denied.

Johnny Gaudreau just sealed the game for BC with an empty net goal. Eagles win 3-1. They win some trophy with a really long name, and Coach York is now 5 wins away from the all-time record.

Final stats for Hawks prospects:
Kevin Hayes: Goose eggs in points, SOGs, and +/-
Stephen Johns: 0p, 4 SOGs, -1

Side note: The announcers' summary is saying that Parker Milner won this game for BC. This echoes what I've seen of Milner both last year and this year. He's a goalie that knows how to shut the door in a tight game, and he can steal more than his fair share of them. I know that we've got plenty of prospect goalies right now, but I'd be pretty happy if we signed Milner to a 2-way contract this summer.

Haven't been posting becuase my computer crapped out and I hate the browser on my phone, but is anyone else annoyed with Dent's lines? The Icehogs don't have a 4th line, he has Flick, Paradis and Bollig throughtout the lineup and then he wonders why the team sucks and is inconsistent.. It's pretty easy: Put checkers with checkers, scorers with scorers and grinders with grinders.. I know they're shorthanded with suspensions/injuries, but it gets on my nerves when I see the lines and can't tell the 2nd line from the 4th..

^At the last game I was at (Hogs v Griffins), the lines were juggled throughout the game. He even had, inexplicably, St.Pierre, Kruger and Pirri out for part of one power play, when the faceoff was in the defensive right wing side of the neutral zone. Had me scratching my head. There were only two constants: Hayes and Kruger, and Pirri and Morin.

Via Chris Block, Sam Jardine suffered a huge injury last night as OSU lost to Alaska.

http://www.examiner.com/article/inju...alaska?cid=rss

His wrist got cut by a skate blade. He immediately went to the ER. His coach said after the game.

“Whatever it is, it’s bad. We’re just hoping he can play hockey again.”

Here's hoping he gets better soon.

Sounds like Q is making the lines.

Best wishes to Jardine for his recovery.

Wasnt the last bad skate injury to a Blackhawk or prospect was to Rene Borque when he almost got his jugular slit open by a flying round house by Zherdrev.

Hogs lost 4-2 yesterday to the Admirals. Goal by Pirri (assisted by: Leblanc & Leddy) and goal by Morin (assisted by: Clendening & Saad)

Saad has been on fire since healing from his leg injury. Hearing nothing but stellar reports about him. Also told reporter Chris Block that he was trying to play through the injury for the first few games (hence why he wasn't showing much).
