Philadelphia sends: Sean Couturier, Kimmo Timonen, 2013 1st rounder, 2013 conditional 2nd rounder
FOR
Vancouver: Roberto Luongo, Mason Raymond
...or something similar to this

Here is my top reason: Philly has always had a reputation for having a TOUGH as nails team. Withe the infusion of youth, talent, and veteran leadership (ahem...Pronger), it's easy to see a good fit here. Yeah...they locked up Bryzgalov to a long term deal last year, but he hasn't performed well enough for the money they threw at him.

Just my two cents.
First off, this is and won't happen. Unless you're taking out Sean Couturier and taking abck Ilya Bryzgalov and not offering a 1st, second and Timonen. This would not happen. Prior to the 2011-12 season perhaps. But nope. Also Couturier is not available for Nash or Ryan, why would he be here for a goalie we dont need.

I just can't see him going to Chicago, given the history between our two teams. It's either going to be Florida or Toronto.

The Philadelphia deal a few posts back is asinine. The Flyers aren't going to roll with two high-paid goalies. If Luongo comes in, Bryz is going back the other way. And Couturier won't be involved, it's that simple.

I already sent the paper work in.

He has completely wrote off Vancouver, and has handcuffed management.

Seems like he wants to get a few more years in and call it quits in his home (Florida)
To this in general, there is a long list of players that have demanded trades, and it has not effected their value. Some have even taken a long time to trade. I mean Nash asked to be traded well before Lui.

I just don't always understand the thinking. Yes we would like to move him, and yes he would like to go, but that does not change Vancouvers position that it still wants value back.

Not allowed to comment, getting pounded by my fellow breteren. Guess we don't have a need for solid goaltending.

I wonder if Flyers took out the 2nd and add Giroux to the deal would peak Canucks interest ???

I understand, it just gets frustrating, as I have said all a long personally I would rather trade him to FLA as I feel they could put a better package together, but I also think TO should want him more.

It is also frustrating when one tries to rip into why "Luongo sux" and we will get nothing for him, so I ask them a simple question and get no response.

Sadly, if TO doesn't show big improvement shortly, we're gonna be wondering why we get lowballed for Kessel as he won't want to resign.

Gillis better at least make a call to Burke, if it's a crap return from FLA, i'm sure Burke can come over the top.

Toronto makes the most sense for Vancouver & Toronto, but not for Luongo.

Ya i guess, don't quite get all the "would prefer to play in a hockey market in a packed house every night in front of passionate fans" stuff from yesterdays interview. Not slagging FLA at all, but it seems like in FLA it' the Heat, the Dolphins, the Marlins, Nascar and college football 1st. In TO, it's the Maple Leafs and then....what, we have other sports??

Been saying it for a while, I think that is pretty much what is going on with Nash, and soon Weber, and Weber actually had some success.

Next thread title Loungo Royal... it's bad but its all I got.

Luongo said on radio it has to work for the team, for him, and for other team as well.
I think he can understand and accept more than just one team.

If he was willing to play in Chicago, then Toronto should be on there as well.

As for trades, Luongo remains available, but it's believed Burke balked at the asking price of promising blueliner Jake Gardiner.

http://www.thehockeynews.com/article...anted-man.html

I guess Lu isn't coming to Toronto, no way I see Burke parting with Gardiner

With all of yesterdays news, i believe Gillis will lower that price. Not saying he'll give him away, but if the offer is better than FLA's (and Luongo agrees) why not deal him to TO?

He's Mr. Connect-the-Dots Man. Not a legit source. He'll spin things 100 different ways and when 1 of those 100 scenarios comes true he'll say "I told you so"
