Adam Hauser

Is the AHL website going numb or does Hauser really have 5 shutouts in 12 games?! That's kind of ****in' uncredible.

What's everyone opinion on this kid I know nothing about?

Yeah Hauser has 5 shutouts and has been stellar. Then again I believe Garon has had 2 games where he brought shutouts into the final minute and gave up a goal, that could have brought him to 6 shutouts.

Hauser will get the start tonight against Lowell. Lowell has scored 4 or more goals in the previous 4-games between the two teams. The series is tied 2-2. Tonight will be the first time Hauser faces Lowell this season.

I saw Hauser when Manchester played at Staples (as, I'm sure, many of you did).
I thought he was very good. He played his angles well, and was agressive in his crease in order to stay with the puck. I also thought he used his pads to cover down low exceptionally well.

Of course, that was against the Utah Grizzlies. It's possible that Jamie Storr might look great against the Grizzlies. But I still think Adam looked great.

If I remember my history correctly, he was drafted by Edmonton, and won the NCAA championship for Minnesota. Edmonton let him go after a few years, and we signed him to a try-out contract in Manchester last year - where he has apparently blossomed. Did I get that right?

It's my understanding that he was never signed by Edmonton and released by them so they could sign another college goalie (Morrison, Maine). Hauser played a game for the Providence Bruins the season before he joined the Monarchs. Boudreau was impressed enough by Hauser's showing (3-3 tie) that the following season he was invited to the Monarchs training camp...
