I was just wondering what's your opinion on our jerseys, all three of them? I made a thread awhile back and saw mixed results from the league. The Christmas jerseys were mixed, seemed to have had more hate than love, our aways weren't criticized much, and our thirds seemed to be beloved.
What's your general opinion on them? Would you want our 3rds to be our 1sts? Do you like the Christmas color jerseys? etc.
Here's another question: Our organization seems to use green a lot for many occasions, for example the draft and Parise/Suter jersey ads. Do you see a transition in the future? Is there a reason we use that green a lot?
Our uniforms suck, the new greens are ok, the others need to go. YUCK!
I'm just thankful they didn't go with something like Vancouver's old flying V's they used to wear. These now the Wild are using are one of the ugliest in the league, and other fans make fun of us for them even. Which isn't too cool. This franchise is trying to turn the corner now, and create a new winning attitude with all these great players, I think a complete revamp of the uniforms would be a good idea.
I think it's too late now for this season if thats what you mean, but if enough of us kept complaining about it, maybe somebody would take notice. And maybe next year, I dunno.
While I've learned not to puke every time I see the X-mas jersey, I'd be very happy to see it burn in hell. The thirds would make good home jerseys. But I wouldn't mind seeing brand new home and away set either.
I don't like the reds either. I love the green though. I don't know about having those be our main homes, but I'd love the new jersey concepts to involve more green and wheat.
Whites (Xmas): Horrible, 100% HORRIBLE. Please make new ones, but in a cream color like the London Knights and then add our green, plus the Minnesota logo spelled out. add some pin stripping or whatever,.... done
Greens: Love!!!
Red: Meh, not a red fan and or this style but these jerseys are pretty popular around the league.
Good point. But yeah, it really bothers me that the away jerseys don't really make the home or alt stylistically.
A Wheat version of our Green Jersey would be nice, for our home and aways, then make an entire new 3rd jersey, which looks nothing like the awful christmas jersey we got. No idea what it should look like, but with a little luck not that damn shade of red we use.
I would like to see them retired the red jerseys and go with just the green and white jerseys. I might like to see them make the white jerseys a little more "classic" looking, either by just changing the font and number, or else by going with something like the Aeros:
