Take Barrie out of it and add someone like O'byrn, Barrie is more than just a throw in. Can't see the Avs having interest in Nemisz either, I don't see him ever cracking the Avs' line up.

Neither is Nemisz. He would be your best winger prospect by a country mile (not counting landeskog who's already playing in the NHL of course.)

Barrie is leagues ahead of Nemisz, he put up more points as a defenseman in the AHL than Nemisz

Rather just keep Barrie and Nemisz out of it.

Value is there, but no team bites as Baertschi/Duchene are too valuable to their own organization.

Avs just signed matt again so they have no intention of trading him.

If I were Feaster, I'd first inquire about Duchene because well, why not? If that was a no go, then I'd counter with a similar proposal such as this. Although I've long thought that a Bouwmeester and Backlund for Statsny deal would really fair for all parties. I like your suggestion to because we would be getting a dman back, but I don't think the Avs bite.

You realize Duchene is 21 right? And has already had seasons of 55 and 67 points respectfully. Also he was heavily injured this past season, and even when he was in the lineup he was STILL injured but he was too stubborn to completely heal up. Look around the league at other young, up and coming players. Eberle didn't see action until he was 20, Giroux.. a top 10 player in the league didn't see regular action until he was 22. Duchene has the skills and mindset to become a star in this league, as does Baertschi. Only difference is Baertschi hasn't even played 10 games in the NHL yet so who knows how his game translates. If Duchene rebounds from the last, injury riddled season, and Baertschi's game translate well, then the trade wouldn't be too lopsided.. In fact I think it would help both teams out, although I'm sure there are better options out there for getting a Dman rather then trading your futre franchise player.

No chance that Calgary would even think of trading their best prospect without a huuuuge overpayment.

And complaints or not about Boumeester but any trade he's involved with has to come with a defensemen that can play top 4 minutes.

Duchene is a very good player that will likely bounce back from next year. But I'd rather not pay that kind of price for him.

Value isn't bad but I'd honestly rather get railed by a rhinoceros than have to see Matty wear a Flames jersey.

To state, I am a huge avalanche and Duchene fan,

Duchene is a borderline star imo right now, with explosive potential to become a star

So you are saying Dutch and Stas are equal in value?

Its hard to say it but gotta say no..... excluding the interdivision issues and if i remember correctly calgary not east of detroit right???,,,,, but the lack of control over both stastny and jaybo in a few years ruins this deal when duchene really doesnt have an option to leave for a long time

Not trading Duchene, especially to a team in the same division.

Bowmeester's value has dropped significantly since he's left Florida. I'm personally a fan of Bartchi but Colorado will NOT touch this.
Duschene > Bowmeester + Bartchi , plain and simple.

Saw Avalanche and Flames in the title, expected a flame fest between fans; you guys didn't let me down.

Wow, looks like I finally figured out that Boumeester has negative value.

Seriously, Boumeester is still a top 4 defenseman, and can still considered a top pairing defenseman.

Bouwmeester is a legit top pairing guy

Avs take this and run, Flames get bent over.
I think you forgot one of these

I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole. Duchene has way too much upside to be traded unless the Avs really make out good on a deal.
