Holy SH** AKost was a BEAST on that 3rd goal.... we need to resign him ASAP... Always loved the guy.
Most of us know he is a good 2nd line player but then people will come in and burst your bubble by saying he is lazy(with no proof) and with his skills and where he was drafted(as if this was his fault). They will also cry for Khl flight risk even though he's been in the nhl for 6 years and Ahl for 3.
I have a feeling he will end up in NYI or maybe even detroit if they don't get semin. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-A. K...
I wouldn't mind if the Habs signed Kostitsyn to reform the Moen-Eller-Kostitsyn third line. Place Prust on the 4th with White and Armstrong for a crash and bang line and Nokelainen as your 13th.a
Eller with Kostitsyn and Moen would be golden... again.

NO way Prust plays on a 4th line after signing those numbers. Sorry.

I always loved that 3rd line, but its pretty clear from MB's behaviour and statements that he isn't interested in signing Kostitsyn. Not the end of the world, but too bad.
Sorry to get off topic but you guys make me laugh. When Kosty was here he was a bum and everyone wanted him gone. Now he is gone and everyone wants him back. Only in Montreal.
yeah i know everyone is going to write how they never said they wanted him gone....

The guys that wanted him gone don't want him re-signed. The ones that supported him are the ones that wouldn't mind him being re-signed.
I guess it isn't fair to suggest that those who are opposed to an AKost return would prefer to see Bourque on Plekanec's line. Or maybe they would after all. Bourque seems less attractive in age, salary, and production as a Hab. Since AKost went for a second rounder and Bourque brought in a second rounder, a swap would result in a net gain of two second rounders, but life isn't that simple. Stepping back, I think Bergevin won't make any major moves until a new CBA is in place. AKost was making substantially more than Bergevin's latest acquisition, Brandon Prust, and presumably would receive more than Prust even if he agreed to a reduction from his previous salary.
See my avatar as well. I've always been a fan and realist when it comes to Kostitsyn, and always liked the Moen-Eller-Kostitsyn line.
I don't get why he wasn't resigned as he said he was going to take a pay cut to stay in Montreal , the guy isn't perfect but he is easily has the best wrist shot on the team...

Maybe his idea of a pay cut is 4 years and 18 mil.
Eller and Kosty had some nice chemistry. I was always a fan of his. If people tempered their expectations of him we never would have had to deal him. I would rather have AK than Bourque. I'll always love him for dummying Lucic a couple times LOL.
