Nino for Magnus

To Edmonton:

Nino Niederreiter
2013 1st round draft pick

To New York(I):

Magnus Paajarvi
2013 1st round draft pick

Why the 1st round draft picks? The 2013 draft is looking strong and this makes things interesting for both clubs that are rebuilding.

^maybe, but i think i'd do this deal just because i feel the Isles 1st round pick next year will be higher than ours!

Outsider saying I'd much rather have Nino. Plus I think Edmonton will be better than NYI this year. So...

Nino>Magnus
NYI 1st>EDM 1st

Paajarvi is better than Niederreiter. He scored 15 NHL goals, 34 pts last season and hit a sophomore slump, meanwhile Nino was arguably the worst non-goon player in the league with a staggering -27 and 1 pt.

Nino>Paajarvi

Isles just don't know how to handle young players

Yes, I like Niederreiter, but I don't see why Edmonton would do this. Paajarvi just seems to be better right now.

Niño is young, they both ate for that matter, so I wouldn't give up on him. That said he reminds me of Rico fata in a lot of ways

paajarvi value is more then nino is right now, but you can't give up on each prospect, because both had bad season.

The firsts are superfluous. In general a GM is going to do everything he can to make a trade as predictable as possible on his end. Putting your first round draft standing in another team and GM's hands is dicey at best, disastrous at worst.

Paajarvi had a 'development' season that started slow and ended well. I wouldn't offer him in a trade.

I'm curious to know what makes Nino so much greater than Paajarvi?

He doesn't play in Edmonton. HF boards bias.

Isles will be picking in the lottery again most likely while the Oilers should be at around 10. Paajarvi is a little better then Nino IMO.

Yeah I notice Nino going out as a valuable piece while Paajarvi is junk on this section of the boards and I couldn't figure out why.

i wouldnt trade nino straight up for pajaarvi and the way things look right now the isles pick is probably slightly more valuable than the oilers pick.

not quite sure why garth doesnt hang up.
