Assuming the Wild get into the playoffs next season, is it too soon to start a campaign AGAINST us having those cheesy "red outs" or "white outs"? Let's buck the trend, let's not be lemmings, let's show everyone that we're above that kind of gimmickry!!!

Don't get me wrong, I'll be thrilled to be in the playoffs, but I would definitely care about the [color] outs.

Might just be the chessiest sports gimmick since "The Wave" or the "Kiss Cam".

If they're done right, they're kind of cool. Like when Penn State has 100,000 people whited out. That's awesome. When they do it in the NBA/NHL, they're pretty blah.

Yeah seems a little early yet for predictions, hell we still don't even know if we'll have a season this year. =(

Don't you say that man that would be the worst thing to ever happen for Wild hockey. Coming off such an impressive offseason only to forget about the NHL again would be such a step back in terms of attention and overall hype that the Wild has earned. And when I buy my Parise jersey Thurdsay at the prospect scrimmage I expect to be wearing it for games in only few months and I don't mean pond hockey games.

I think the Wild will win the division. The Nucks have gotten weaker on defense and whatever you think about Luongo, he has been great regular season goaltender and Schneider is still unpredictable in the long run. It´´s going to be close but I think there is a legitimate chance of winning the division.

Yeah lets do an official predictions thread when the preseason starts and then bump it when the season ends and grade everyone on how they did.

And even if we don't want to do that, let's at least wait until we know what teams are going to fully look like. Semin, Kostitsyn, Doan, and others haven't signed yet. Nash is likely to be traded. Luongo will be somewhere else. Toronto only has 1 goalie on their NHL roster at this point, and he might be the backup. Anaheim and Nashville still need to add 6 players to their rosters. Let's wait until we have a decent idea of what teams will look like before predicting how they'll end the season.

Doan seems to be going to Canucks, Red Wings are stupid if they dont take Semin.

As others have pointed out, it's almost pointless to guess on ranking every team in the NHL when many things can change between now and the season....but my early guess is that the Wild should be able to finish 2nd in the NW....where that puts them in the West, overall, I'm not sure.

I'm expecting a big year from Dany Heatley. He put up 24 goals without much surrounding talent last year, and wildly inconsistent lines. Given the recent bump in talent, I'm hoping for a comeback. (not that 53 points is anything to scoff at)

30+ goals, 60+ points.

Im hoping on a top 6 in WC.

Point-wise (for our biggest names in that category) i'm hoping for something like this:

Parise: 80 points +/-
Koivu: 70 points +/-
Heatley: 70 points +/- (35 goals?)
Setoguchi: 50 points +/-
Suter: 40 points +/- (Can we hope for that without Weber?)
Granlund: 50 +/-
Bouchard: 50 +/- (If healty ofc)
Gilbert: 35 +/-
---------------------------------

If this prediction goes in, i would be more that happy.

Has an organization ever won the Stanley Cup and Calder Cup in the same year?

With a little fix:

Realistically what do you expect this season from the Wild and the Aeros?
