Does Mittens give Olli #13 I wonder. I have a feeling Miettenen is going to have a rebound year this year for us.
I was privileged enough to be at the game vs. Ottawa where he scored twice. It was weird.

I think Mittens will be cool with it.

Jet is getting into his senior years, you'll have to bear with him.

Saw him score 2 against Carolina as well. Very strange to see the dark blue 20 tip one in.

Haha omg.

I have no idea why I thought Miettenen was 13.

I must be blond on the inside.

Edit: Come to think of it, I had the same problem with 13 a couple weeks ago. I mentioned something about Alexei Zhamnov wearing 13, but he wore 10. I DO know that Teemu wore 13 (until Carlyle retired )

you're just all sorts of wrong in that post.

Teemu wore 9 until Hull's # was retired. then he switched to 13.

Teemu Selšnne was selected by the Winnipeg Jets 10th overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft (the last player selected in the first round by Jets general manager John Ferguson, Sr., who was fired four months later) and was contracted by the Jets for the 1992–93 NHL season. Selšnne initially asked to wear number 8, however, it was already taken by defenseman Randy Carlyle (Selšnne's future coach with the Ducks) in his final playing season; thus Selšnne wore number 13 instead.

Jets are down 2-0. Wheeler gets 2 goals. After his second, there's a standing ovation that lasts for a full minute.
Third period and every time Wheeler's on the ice, fans are going nuts. Cheering when he has the puck, chanting "Whee-ler! Whee-ler!"

Its probably the best Jets moment I've witnessed since Hawerchuk scored vs the Oilers during The Popcorn Playoffs of yesteryear.

If Wheeler's smart, he stays in Winnipeg. He'll be the fan favourite and, surrounded by the right pieces, will be a top 20 forward.
I was at that game too. That was awesome.

Please, please, please let his post not have been serious.

On a side note, wasn't Doug Smail the last to wear #9 before it being retired?

If you're going to make "absolute" claims, then at least get them right.

I think it was Doug Smail who wore number 9 before Hull retired.
