Anaheim Ducks prospect ranking #9

Here we go again. I added the rest of Ducks' draftees from this year. There's still a lot of people I'm missing so who should I add soon?

Ranking so far:
1. Kyle Palmieri 37.04%
2. Sami Vatanen 41.38% (original poll) 50.63% (tiebreaker)
3. Emerson Etem 62.90%
4. Peter Holland 56.25%
5. Hampus Lindholm 55.56%
6. Devante Smith-Pelly 40.00%
7. John Gibson 44.44%
8. Rikard Rakell 73.33%

I can't decide between Karlsson and Kerdiles.

I can't think of many more to add, maybe Lind or Illo. Do we still have Perlini's rights?

Andersen then Kerdiles.

Kerdiles is definitely a steal at 36. One thing to keep in mind about USNDT players is their seasons end long before CHL play is over (around march). Also Nic didn't get much exposure since he missed almost half his season with injury. So scouts probably didn't get the chance to see him all that much (despite that, scouts still had him ranked as high as 20), but I was very impressed with him at the U-18. He looks like with some refining he can be a Ryan Kesler type two way player. Of the California born prospects (guys like Grimaldi and McColgan and more) out of recent drafts, I'd say Kerdiles is the best since Etem.

I like Kerdiles here.

Andersen was just an afterthought to me before, but that was more to my not knowing a lot about him. He and Karlsson were neck and neck with Kerdiles too.

Once I get home to my computer I'll be voting Karlsson, then Kerdiles 10th. Karlsson has showed well at the WJC and has a better track record so far. Kerdiles may very well turn out to be the better player and it's a pretty close call.

I really think that Andersen is getting underestimated here. Huge goalie with great upside who has already played extremely well against men and has represented his country in WC. And he's almost ready to play in NHL.

I went Anderson, was going to go Kerdiles next but he's going to win this one anyways.

I went for Friberg. Will be very exciting to see his production in SEL this year. Last season he almost spent all his time on the 4th line.

Also...9 goals in 6 games in WJC

I think it's pretty odd that Friberg have more votes than Karlsson in this poll. Friberg is soo overrated after WJC. Karlsson was a 1 line center in Allsvenskan last season with 45 points in 46 games.

I agree completely. I watched the Hlinka tournament and everytime he was on the ice he stood out to me. This was the guy i really wanted with the 2nd pick. His compete level is off the charts.

Karlsson, Friberg, Kerdiles or Roy.

Then Andersen or Wagner.

For now, i`ll go with Friberg.

I also am confused at how Friberg is getting more votes than Karlsson..

Friberg had a great WJC, but Karlsson was fantastic all year against men.

Neither one of them should be ahead of Andersen imo (coming from a Swede). Although older, Andersen is already backup material, he should be a sure thing. William Karlsson can be anywhere between a 2nd liner/career SEL-player and as for Friberg, what he showed in the WHJC was a big big surprise. He's a energy winger, not a skill player or scorer.

Yeah, Friberg seems to be a pretty obvious case of WJC overhype.

I could even justify putting Roy ahead of Friberg.
