Wild @ Oilers 20.2.2015 | FSN+ | 8PM CT, 4AM SUOMI

(29-21-7) at (17-32-10)

TV: FS-N+, SNOL

Season series: Charlie Coyle's goal with less than five minutes remaining in regulation was the difference for the Minnesota Wild in a 2-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Jan. 28 at Rexall Place.

Wild team scope: Minnesota had an optional skate Thursday in Edmonton following a 3-2 win in overtime against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday. The Wild were without defenseman Jared Spurgeon for much of the game after he was hit in the face by a puck in the first period and did not return. Spurgeon sustained an upper-body injury and will not play against the Oilers, coach Mike Yeo said. The Wild will likely recall a defenseman from Iowa of the American Hockey League, with Christian Folin or Jonathon Blum the two likeliest options. Minnesota could also go with Stu Bickel, who has been a healthy scratch each game since being recalled from Iowa on Feb. 10. Former Oilers goaltender Devan Dubnyk will get the start. He made 23 saves in the victory at Edmonton last month. Minnesota is 9-1-0 in its past 10 games at Rexall Place.

Oilers team scope: Edmonton did not practice Thursday after a 4-3 shootout win against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday. The Oilers also had to win shorthanded, with forward Anton Lander and defenseman Jeff Petry injured during the third period. Lander injured his shoulder and Petry took a puck to the ribs; neither returned. They were to be reevaluated by team personnel Thursday and are questionable. Edmonton had three healthy scratches (defenseman Keith Aulie and forwards Luke Gazdic and Rob Klinkhammer) against Boston, but a roster move before the game can't be ruled out. Goaltender Ben Scrivens made 38 saves against the Bruins and didn't allow a goal on 12 attempts in the shootout. He's likely to get the nod against Minnesota, a team he is 0-2-0 with a 3.50 goals-against average and a .870 save percentage against in his career.

Lineup guesses:

Winger-Center-Winger
Winger-Center-Winger
Winger-Center-Winger
Winger-Center-Winger/Suter

Suter-Brodin
Suter-Folin
Suter-Prosser

Dubnyk
Suter

Logically this should be an easy win, which is exactly why I expect Wild to struggle a bit. Score a couple of goals early, turtle and Edmonton pushes to tie the game late in the 3rd.

Even then, do you really think you're missing much? Minnesota vs Edmonton, snooze trap fest.

This is the type of game that you have to win in order to make the playoffs. It should be an automatic win. Strike early and get it done.

Go Wild! I'll be out and about tonight, but hopefully when I catch the score on passing TV screens they're crushing the Oilers!

Hope Dumba has a solid game tonight up in the top 4.

7PM start for the Wolves, 8PM start for the Wild.

As much as I hate it, KG's return to Minnesota is gonna get huge ratings... no way they push it to the plus.

Glad Coyle has stepped up his game recently with all the injuries. Hope he can keep it up. You can just see how good he could be in flashes but he always seems to level out. Hopefully he can use this stretch to gain some consistency and maybe score some goals even

I quadruple checked the time just to be sure, kinda of like what I used to do with tickets when our favorite team actually used them.....

The Oilers' top D and forward are out tonight... Should be a guaranteed win for you guys. Oilers lineup will probably look something like this:

Purcell - Nugent-Hopkins - Eberle
Hamilton - Roy - Yakupov
Fraser - Pouliot - Pakarinen
Hendricks - Gordon - Klinkhammer

Klefbom - Schultz
Marincin - Fayne
Aulie - Ference

Scrivens

Hall was out last time, too. How long is he out for, now?

Or did he never come back from a week or two ago when we played?

He returned to the lineup shortly after that but re-aggravated his injury upon receiving a slash against San Jose. He'll probably be out for another month or so.
