Naoki Urasawa's Monster would be a good addition to your list.

Silly question, yes I'm up to date on Psycho Pass. Big fan of the OP, and I gotta say the visuals are top notch.

First time I've ever been disturbed by Tomatoes.

Yeah the OP is awesome and the last episode was great, glad they introduced a new group like that internet cartel instead of just a bad guy of the week, I really like where this show is going.

Chuunibyou is hilarious

Think it's way better than Haruhi Suzumiya.

Sure got quiet in here all of a sudden... At any rate, I converted from Anime Planet to myanimelist just to be able to use MALUpdater and have it all automated. I am so very lazy.

Welp Sword Art Online finally came to a close. I know quite a few of you watched it. All in all, I found the second half quite weak which brought the score down to a 7/10.

The only redeeming quality of the second half of SAO was Suguha's incessant ass and boob shots.

I'm still a bit behind in SAO but heard the ending was good and from the people I've talked to they all want more.

Chuunibyou ended nicely I thought.

I still really, really liked SAO and really liked the ending. Still need to finish Chuunibyou.

Anyone else catch Eureka 7: AO? I had high expectations for it (and rightfully so) but it was pretty disappointing.

I guess I'll check out Sword Art Online since it's getting quite a bit of buzz.

Chuunibyou ended about as well as could be hoped. I don't know if I prefered Hyouka's ending or Chu2 but oh well decent series anyways.

Edit: I am enjoying Little Busters if only for Kud

Waaafuuu~!

Updated the first page with information about the current anime season and renamed the title of the thread to more accurately represent what's actually going on this thread.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is an interesting one. Uses a fairly standard Dragon Quest like fantasy world, to the point where characters are simply named 'Hero', 'Scholar', 'Merchant', and so on, but gives the lead female character a very Mary-Sue-ish level of knowledge on things like modern economics, agriculture, and science. So in a way it becomes a bit more like Spice and Wolf than your standard fantasy fare. Humanity is united against the demon race, but the conflict is about preventing the medieval continent from falling into a post war depression, famine, and civil war, so falling into a dark age more or less, by using modern knowledge to push society into a thriving Renaissance era instead.

It's not quite as serious as Spice and Wolf though as it still keeps a silly shonen romance with a bit of fan service side to it. Personally I find that extremely annoying, but to each their own.

Indeed, I was going to do a quick first impressions review of this series but you summed up one half of it well enough.

There are three reasons to watch this show, one is the plot above in which the Hero and the Demon King unite to prevent both worlds from falling to pieces by keeping a war ongoing.

Secondly, the cast and crew are largely from Spice & Wolf (Lawrence and Holo, director, art director, and more), so for those who enjoyed Spice & Wolf you can expect a fairly decent story and an enjoyable experience right off the bat if they're all on board.

The third reason is for... "The Plot"
Spoil:

if you tend to enjoy this type of fanservice you're in luck.

Haha, I think what bugs me the most here is that the male side of the equation has this completely ridiculous oblivious/chaste/prudish view on romance that has no connection with reality.

It's like they have the same view or sensibility as Disney does on sex but at the same time have no restraint in going hey boys look BOOBIES!!!

That's pretty much what School Days and it's associated series deals with, what if we give a man this big ass harem, and he was actually a seriously sex-crazed *******?

You end up with this chart here: http://i.imgur.com/UWmfD.jpg

Of particular note is the incestception tree right here: http://i.imgur.com/U2Jzs.jpg

I don't have any real interest in Maoyuu and I've been reading the manga. Not that isn't bad, it's just meh to me.

The series makes too much money and still has many stories to tell. It'll be back for another 26 or so episodes within a year if I'm a betting man. While this may be considered a spoiler (not really since you'll find it out as soon as you see him) Kirito in the next MMO... Well... If they follow what the books say he should look something like this.

ITS A TRAP!

Well just wrapped up watching Amnesia which was on my to watch list for this season and man this is a fantastic looking show to watch (not saying it's going to be a good show, but it will look good at least, let's be honest here, it'll be a generic anime show for girls). Not much developed story wise yet, but I'm already curious about the motifs that are on display in the show. Firstly, and probably most obviously is the eyes of the characters.

and less obvious is they all have a suit from a deck of cards.

I have no idea what's coming out next so I will have to check up on that. Still have a bit on my backlog to watch and things I really want to rewatch too

Too much anime, so little time.

And we have a winner for most amusing, random, entertaining, nonsensical, wtf anime of the season (through first episodes).

Congratulations to [email protected]! You keep being awesome!
