I would not do that deal. Burns is signed long term for cheap and the gap between them is not that great.

hey I just realized something. Quick played 1 more game than Niemi last season (69 compared to 68). Does that mean that Tmac will think the new strategy to win the cup is to play the goalie more?

The last statement will become apparent when Burns plays more with Vlasic. They'll be the not as good Weber-Suter but the pairing for like 15% of the cap will be better than Weber-Suter for like 15 mill.

I still think it was a big mistake to let him go. I guess I am just seeing something in him that others aren't

Glad to see Benn catch on with a team. I feel like he was given more than a fair share of opportunity to prove he was a real NHL player with the Sharks and he just never showed up enough. A few nice memories but a whole lot of games where he was invisible.

Well yeah. Burns is 5,760,000 on the cap, while the Preds would be adding 40,254,167 to our cap. Though I'd argue that the gap between the Preds as a whole and Burns is pretty big. Maybe not worth the additional 35+ mil in cap we'd add but yeah.

Dunno why Poile would do it though. Taking gutting to a whole new level.

Hehe, I ignored that and just assumed he meant Weber
