AK and Radulov were the ones suspended. Supposedly for being about 30 minutes late for curfew (if I remember right, and that could not have been the exact time). If that is right, I wouldn't call him a trouble-maker. Heck, at the time I think he was tied for team lead in playoff goals, so it's not like he wasn't performing on the ice.

Yeah, I wanted AK before the Preds traded for him. If DW thinks he could fit in the locker room, he should go for him.

Heck, sign Doan, too, and deal Murray. That'd be a sweet top-9.
If folks are worried about speed, then deal Clowe for a better speedier top 9 fwd.

It's not likely, but maybe AK and Semin would sign something short-term/cheap in order to play for a top team, with a top playmaker, getting top minutes... then cash in next year.

Trade Murray for a 2nd rounder, buyout Handzus...

1. I want whatever it is you're smoking...

2. As much as I would like to think we are, are WE a "top team"? Pitt or LA seem more likely a target for this, no?

When 96 points is your lowest point total since 2003, and your roster is still anchored by the type of talent that the Sharks have, yes, they are still a top team. They were the top team in hockey last year until Martin Havlat got hurt. The only reason that Pittsburgh may be a more attractive destination is because players tend to want to stay on the East Coast.

I seriously doubt Semin will sign for anything cheap, especially on the Sharks. DW would have to overpay for him to even consider it here.

1. No Russians on this team
2. West Coast
3. Apparently, the KHL offered him a 3 year 30 million contract.

Isles don't want Murray and they wouldn't ever trade Grabner for him.

That was fast.

It was way more than 30 minutes.
The story I heard out here on the radio is that Trotz called the front desk that morning to see when the players used their key cards to get into their room.

Radulov and AK used their keys around 4:30am so well past their curfew. I put all of it on Radulov. That guy does not seem to care about his team at all.

That was before they traded for Visnovsky and before everyone realized that Murray sucks.

Find me the thread. Unless the prospect is Nieto or Hertl, NYI would never say yes.

The absence of proof is not proof of absence.
