Duchene hasn't shown enough to warrant a kings ransom, yet at the same time from a COL perspective he wouldn't come cheap, he is simply untradeable

It just does not stop when it comes to our centers.. So far the only players that has been brought up with any sort of favorable response when talking about trading our centers are guys like Yandle and Ryan.

Oh yeah a deal around M. Staal for Stastny got some favorable responses as well.

See the trend? Quality.. Not quantity.

Avs are definitely not giving up a 21 year old with franchise potential, and especially one that just took a discount to prove himself because he wants to be here.

Who exactly in this deal are we suppose to be excited about? Vanek? Great hes 28 years old and has what two years left..

Yeah the value is there but it's quite clearly not the kind of deal that would get anyone excited enough to move a 21 year old with Duchenes track record and potential.

Probably in the ballpark of what would need to be offered for Colorado to even consider moving Duchene. Too much for Buffalo to do it. Pass.

Its a decent offer, but the Avs pass. And if were moving Duchene to Buffalo Myers would have to be coming back.

Sekera is a better player than his reputation around the league indicates. There are many a Sabres fan who think he was hands down our best D last year. So you're asking for our best forward, arguably our best D, and a decent C prospect. That's Rick Nash overspending. Far too much to give up.

I'd be interested in Vanek plus picks or Vanek plus Adam, but once you throw in Sekera like a throwaway player, you're not on the right page.

Myers, unfortunately for you guys, is our most untouchable player, probably. His ceiling is way too high.

Unfortunately for everyone we have lots of untouchable players, Landeskog, Duchene, EJ, O'Reilly & Varly and probably in that order as it stands right now based on talent and position.

I think it's fairly close when it comes to the importence of a #1 center and a #1 defender. Especially if they have not quite gotten there yet but look to have solid potential.

Weber is worth more than Duchene

Giroux is worth more than Myers..

Duchene & Myers are fairly close in value beyond our own fan bias..
