I highly doubt Doan will sign in the East. I really do think it will come down to the Sharks and Kings. Vancouver is obviously an option, but I do think the chance to stay fairly close to his family while playing for a Cup contender will be hard for him to turn down.
I have a fealing that the team is the Jets. He's played there before and the Jets would likely love him to teach Evander Kane the ropes.
He's not going back to Winnipeg. Doan said prior to last season, that if the Coyotes moved to Winnipeg, he would rather retire than play there. He took a lot of undeserved criticism from Canadian fans for it. There is zero chance that he signs there, especially on a long-term deal that would mean he would have to move his wife and kids (who are all from Arizona) from one of the most comfortable places to live in North America to one of the least comfortable.
