seeing how doan just priced himeslf out of everyone's market, that means we did not address a SINGLE need on our fwd lines. we are still slow and we still have pylon.

well unless you count burish i guess.
We are still slow and still have pylon, but nobody will meet Doan's demands. Maybe not even the Yotes (unless his home-town discount is really superb) Hell, most NHL players would love a 4 year, $30M contract. Problem is, most of the NHL doesn't deserve such a contract.
Someone probably (eventually) offers him $4.5M per for 4 years or longer, and either he takes that or takes a hometown "discount" of 3-4 years $4M per with the Yotes.

I have considered Doan to be overrated. Now you can add overpriced to that. I'd take him for his grit. But for around half that price for half that term. Pass. Anyone who gives him that is crazy or needs to get to the cap floor. No contender will pay that money and term at his age and hogtie their ability to fill out a contending roster. I'm sure he'll want a no movement clause too.
HFBoards hearsay. Pollock tweeted that according to DW talks with CBJ never went past Couture+.
This is doubtful. It's common sence though. We didnt get Nash. Why would he admit to offering Clowe.
1. It lowers Clowe's trade value if other GMs know he's being shopped.
2. Clowe is still part of this team, you dont want him to think we were trying to get rid of him.
DW can and will tell Pollock what he wants. Doesnt have to be true.

So basically hell ****ing no.
To me this is Shane Doan saying, im extending my deadline, without saying it. He knows he isnt getting 7.5m per for 4 years, so he accomplished 1 of 2 things.
1. Since no one is going to give him that type of money, he has bought phoenix more time. Teams will have to negotiate, that will take time, which gives Phoenix more time.
OR
2. He set the price at a price so high that it is a cant say no type offer.
How big is this guy's ego if he demands $7.5m for his 20 goals and "intangibles"? Lets put that number into perspective. Players who make around $7.5m: Zach Parise, Ryan Suter, Dany Heatley, Marian Gaborik, STEVEN STAMKOS. Doan is not, has never been, and never will be in the same zip code as those players. Whatever team gives him that dough will be severely disappointed and he will laugh in their faces all the way to the bank.
What would be hilarious for me would be if he priced himself out of every team, signed in PHX, and then somehow the team folded and had to move to Canada. I don't want that to happen for the sake of the PHX fans, but it would be chuckle-worthy for sure.

Cause you're too young to know what's good. A great show that was canceled too soon. Family Guy can't even hold a candle to its brilliance (not that FG is even good, but its sadly popular).

Family Guy is now in the same boat at the Simpsons, once great. American Dad is the only fox cartoon worth watching and its consistently brilliant, Cleveland Show is really really meh. Really miss King of the Hill and the Critic, needs to to be more intelligent animated comedies. Adult Swim and Comedy Central have some great ones, and Archer is amazing but everything else FX has done has been garbage.

I'm only 20 but ever since his guest appearance on the simpsons, I've always wanted to watch it but I forgot by the time I knew about online streaming and what not
I'm getting tired of Doan like I am of the Kardashians.

Sucks that Netflix doesn't offer it for streaming, but the complete series is cheap as hell on Amazon. I can't tell you how many times I've loaned out the DVDs to people in order to get them on board. Any way you can watch, it'll be worth it I promise you. Almost all of their pop culture references are still relevant today.
