I took some videos of the first day of prospect camp. Day one involved different drills and were just one-hour practices.
Longest video for the best group below. Whitney (top of the screen) was in goal you can see. Danault, Hayes, Saad, and Clendening were all part of this group. It was a two-on-two drill with group players not up available to pass to. Danault had a sick goal at the 1:45 mark.
Same drill as the previous video with Teravainen beating the defenseman and Whitney to start and a short amount of generic drill work after. It's a quick glimpse of some of the skill he showed for the time he was on the ice.
This was a one-on-one drill. Whoever had the puck tried to score. At the :15 mark, Hayes shows some absolutely ridiculous skill. Probably the prettiest move I saw all day and caught it on video. Made a great deke to go around the defender, used his muscle to keep himself in scoring position, and made a filthy move on the goalie.
McNeill and Carruth going head-to-head:
Hope this first-hand look gives you guys a better idea of what the camp is all about and some of the skill fans, management, and coaches got to see and will see more of the next four days.
