A gold mine of Avs history on VHS (1996 - 2003)

Hello, all. I am reluctantly parting with my collection of Avs VHS recordings. Among these are nearly every playoff game between 1996 and 2003. (1996 includes all of the finals and portions of each of the previous three series. 1997-2003 include nearly all games, with just a scattered game or two that are missing.) There is also related coverage, e.g., post-games, parade coverage, press conferences, etc.

In addition, I have a box of other notable games/events. For example...
Roy's 300th, 400th, 447th, and 448th wins.
2/5/96 (Roy's first game vs Montreal)
3/5/97 Avs at Montreal
Roy's sweater retirement
Bourque retirement press conference
Bourque sweater retirement
10/9/01 Vancouver at Colorado - banner raising
10/8/96 SJ at Colorado
12/17/96 Det at Colorado
Gretzky's last game
Gretzky's sweater retirement
1996 World Cup Finals Games 1, 2, and 3
2001 All-Star Game, All-Star Saturday, local "Hockey in the Rockies" special
1998 All-Star Game
Some commercially produced tapes ("Landslide," "Mission Accomplished," etc.)
Other local news coverage/features.
Etc., etc.

All tapes are in as perfect a condition as possible, in that they've been stored with care since the time of their recording. All are carefully and completely labeled as well.

Please PM me if interested.

If you put any of those on YouTube I would cross the Sahara desert using only the Mexican soccer team's sweat as my water supply just to air hug you on skype over a dial-up connection.

Why would you want to get rid of them?

I would drag my balls through a mile a broken-glass, just to hear him fart through a walkie-talkie.

I would bottle that fart, only to open it on special occasions to use as cologne to get copies of those !

If you can't/don't digitize and put on youtube, a condition of your sale needs to be that whoever purchases signs an affidavit promising to do so. I'd spend all summer watching those games.

On a related note...anyone know anybody @ altitude or Kroenke sports? During the lockout Altitude aired old classic games. I have no idea why they don't do the same thing throughout every off season. If someone knows someone...this may be a worthwhile suggestion for off season programming. I can't imagine that Kiana's Flex Appeal gets more viewers than would Forsberg's hattrick comeback against Florida, or any playoff game Sakic won in OT, or any of the moments/games from OP's extensive collection.

Agreed.

If whoever ends up buying these is up for it, you can send some of these tapes out to New Jersey and I'll digitize them and send 'em back. I'll pay for shipping both ways.

I can participate on paying the tapes. I have no idea how much the OP is looking for these, but I don't want to get them shipped to Finland (as main reasons shipping costs and lack of VCR). I can pay something for getting these digitized.

Being honest, if I was promised all the digital copies, I'd send over some coin for the swap to digital format. Hell, the Aussie Dollars worth more than the green-back ! Hahahaha

Seriously, I'll transfer money if you decide on doing it if I can get the copies. I'll pay all shipping etc as well.

I also have a collection of DVDs It is not, however, related in any way to the Avalanche

Seriously, though, this project MUST be seen through to completion. I'm in on the community $$ to make it happen by whomever makes it happen. Youtube, hard copies, disks, whatever. It needs to happen! And I gotta see it/get it/own it/have it.
