It looks like the Avtsin hype is over now. His flashy moves still pushed him into the top 10 on this board (even if he was ranked quite low in every other scouting report), just like Trunev did. In the current top 10, I don't see any similar player who would be there just because we saw a few flashy moves on youtube, so we may have learned our lesson!
I'm surprised Dietz hasn't been picked yet, really like what i saw from him last season, can't wait to see him at the Memorial Cup with Thrower.
Archambault, Sullivan, maybe Nystrom would be the best of the remaining guys imo. Although with Sullivan it's more a guess since I only saw him play once.

He's regressed as prospect since coming over to North America, or since his wrist injury. He's 6'2/6'3 200lbs with great hands, a very good shot and good skating stride. He was always a project, and our prospect pool has gotten much deeper since he's been drafted.
And he wasn't ranked that low on scouting reports. Central Scouting had him as the 18th best Euro skater.

Avtsin came over and produced rather well for a 19 year old in North America in a professional league. It was his lack of progression this year that has dropped him.
not really sure how Geoffrion dropped so much i still like him and i think a year in hamilton could be great for him and he has good chance at becoming a solid 3rd liner nhler
Dietz, add Archambault (awesome talent, but so selfish and do not put 100% everytime, not even talking about the defensive aspect of his game which is atrocious although better than what he looked like in Val d'Or; he looks tremendous when he puts it all together, can create a lot of space while deking)

Not sure what's going on with the voting but Geoffrion has already put up 55 Games in the NHL and has decent size at 6'2 and 195. I think he has a way better chance of sticking than some of the guys that have been voted ahead of him (Bournival, Bennett, Bozon, Holland). If he doesn't make the team out of training camp he'll be one of the first forwards to get a call when injuries strike the big club.
