Thanks a lot, that's great! That was my biggest concern about Janko, is whether or not he would look out of place playing against better competition. Reading your post shows very encouraging signs early on that he could be the real deal. Thinking the game at a higher level is the most important aspect. After he plays a season against better competition, gets a little more stronger and gains more confidence, then hopefully that's when he will really starts to impress.

And I'm fine if Johnny is 5'8, Cammy is 5'9 and can hold his own very well. Giroux is another example, not very big but extremely elusive and shifty. Hopefully he can grow one more inch and just really focus on his strength.

I'm very optimistic about this group of guys we have. I don't think HF will have the Flames prospects ranked in the 20's for much longer.

Right out the gate Horak looked to be the best prospect out there, for the 1st 10 minutes he was super noticeable, but he did little after that.

Reinhart stood out for the rest of the game.

Btw both of Gaudreau goals can be seen here:

Gaudreau looks a bit bigger than I expected. He's still small, but he's not THAT small.

Conroy was seriously pissing himself over Gaudreau, it was awesome!

Gaudreau will probably be our top prospect after this season when Baertschi and Brodie have officially graduated. If I'm not mistaken, he put up one less point (as a rookie) than Kreider did who was in his 3rd season.

The same scouting staff that saw it worth while to risk on Gaudreau, said that Janko has the same skill only he has a much larger frame. If both these guys pan out along with Sven, we will be sitting just fine for quite some time.

Johnny Gaudreau is something else. Great hands, good shot, and has the ability to put the puck in the net. I can see him making the 2013-2014 roster for sure.

Some really optimistic reports here. Can't wait to see how these kids will look in a year.

Yea the more I see from Gaudreau the more I am ok with the Janko pick. This kid has some serious skill I can't believe he was a 4th round pick. If the scouts truly believe that Janko could be a larger version of Gaudreau then I love the pick.

That penalty shot goal was unreal. He beat whoever that defenceman was like a rented mule.

I'm glad to hear about our prospects. We should see how they do in the prospects tourney against the Oilers pool.

Thinking of attending at 2:30 tomorrow for the open ice scrimmage. Looking forward to seeing our prospects....

Also, has anyone seen/heard how Granlund is doing? He's a prospect I'm interested in keeping a closer eye on.

Apparently he looks promising, and better than most of the kids, but not a huge standout at any particular moment.

Sadly there isn't going to be a tournament this year.
