There was a rumor on this board that he was close to signing with the flames?

I hope not. I doubt he can return to being a center after his injuries.

I'm hoping Pit for cheap unless we get someone better like Semin or Doan

St. Mary's Convalescent Home for the Traumatically Brain Injured's rec team, I'd imagine.

How far are the Wild up against the cap? If had for cheap he might fit in well there. Hawks as well.

Hopefully anywhere outside of the NW. He will punish the Avs every game and as stated by someone on the Avs board, there may be some apprehension from Avalanche players to lay a hit on Mueller after they have experienced his recovery and problems first hand.

I have my doubts he's over the concussions completely given his recent interview and continued references to "good days".

Pittsburgh is a team that could take on Mueller more or less risk-free as a reclamation project. Good call.

Why is it always the same teams I see when someone is on the market? Pittsburgh, NYR, New Jersey, Detroit, most of these teams are stacked as it is.

What about San Jose? Florida? Winnipeg?

Maybe it's just me.

He could be an interesting choice for several teams. He could use a shot on a contender in a lower role where he can make up for it. This is similar to me with Higgins a few years ago. A pleasant surprise for a contender.

Don't worry there is a small following on the boards too that want to see the Salary Cap and Revenue Sharing done away with. You know so Toronto, NYR, Montreal and other big money teams can become the Yankees, Red Sox and Texas Rangers of the NHL.

I would suggest Columbus because they really liked him during his draft year, but I don't think anyone scout/hockey management who was around when the Blue Jackets took Brassard instead is still there.

Hopefully somewhere in the East, so I can have a clean conscience cheering him on. I'd love to see him fed by Sid or Geno, that's for sure.

i'd see Pittsburgh take a shot at him if:
A. they miss out on both Semin and Doan, or
B. they land one of Semin/Doan and he's still available for a low asking price

even with both scenarios, though, i think it's unlikely he lands with the Pens although he'd be great.

I would hope to see him in Detroit or Pittsburgh
It would give him a good chance to re-boot his career
