Buffalo - Minnesota (Heatley)

To Buffalo:

- Dany Heatley

To Minnesota:

- Drew Stafford
- Luke Adam

Buffalo adds a much needed sniper and Minnesota adds a younger 25-30 goal winger to play with his buddy Parise, some cap relief, and a promising prospect that looks to end up as a 3C or Top Six Winger.

No.

No.

No.

And I'm sure Minny says the same.

I want nothing to do with Heatley in Buffalo. Least favorite player in the league, by a lot. Not that my opinion matters to the hockey people making the decisions.

Minnesota would do this in a second, not sure if Heatley would agree.

Heatley for Sekara/Leopold + Stafford makes more sense.

Sekera?

Buffalo says no.

And if they said yes, I'd kill myself. MUCH rather have Stafford at this point in their careers.

Totally fine doing Stafford + Leopold.

No to Sekara though, unless it's Sekera + Adam instead and Stafford stays a Sabre.

If I'm Minny, I take that and run, far, far away!

Even with Parise and Suter, the wild will need Heatley to come through big time for them to be a contender, and I don't think he will.

The Wild have no interest in moving Heatley.

But if we had Leopold we'd have Parise from north Dakota, Heatley and Suter from the badgers, and Leo was a goph... Think of that!

That would be a big no. Staff and Luke aren't going anywhere.

No way from Wild. Buffalo may take that though.

No thank you. If Buffalo needs inconsistent scoring, Stafford does it for much cheaper.

Not a bad offer by any means, but with how the current roster is shaping up, I would really like to hang on to Heatley.

The Parise/Koivu/Heatley line is something I want to see at least one shift of.

We love Heatley way too much for this, plus Adam is a center, we have too many.

A lot of the dislike for Heatley is because the general consensus on him is that he's a locker room cancer. Wild fans will tell you 100% that Heatley is certainly not a bad teammate in any way, shape or form. He's a great guy in the locker room and a fun team mate to be around.

The deal is putrid, but nobody can have too many centers. You shift someone to wing if that's the case.

We have too many forwards at this point.

Pretty fair deal IMO from a value standpoint. Whether or not the teams have interest in the listed players is another argument.

Adam's really not a center, his future in the NHL is at LW. The Sabres horrendous depth at center was the main reason he was tried there, but now that we actually have some center options I'd bet he moves to LW for sure.
