Rick Nash continued - Portzline: NYR PHI PIT DET SJS and BOS

Rick Nash LIST definitively includes: NYR PHI PIT DET SJS

11:16 AM - 4 Jul 12:
"Confirmed today Pittsburgh is on Rick Nash's "approved" list. So #NYR, #Flyers, #RedWings, #SJSharks, #PghPenguins. Could be 1-2 others. -- Aaron Portzline (@Aportzline)"

http://www.thestar.com/sports/leafs/...-s-trade-list#
The Columbus Dispatch uncovered the six teams that Nash would approve a trade to, and none of them are in Canada.

Nash’s list of “approved” destinations are: Boston, Detroit, New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and San Jose.

Hey Boston fans:

Would you do:

Peverly
Spooner
Knight
1st for

Nash

This is around what the Rangers have offered but this package looks comparable (a little better).

I hadn't noticed that until now. It IS possible a Canadian team is on his list and we just don't know it yet. But um, yeah...

And that 15 goal thing is just plain wrong.
So Jenner is better than Miller despite being drafted 22 spots after him, and Jenner is better than Thomas despite Thomas outproducing him on the same team?

Sure.

Sorry, but unless the teams are memorialized in song, I'm not buying any changes to the list.

Can Portzline sing? If not, clearly not credible.

Is Howson still asking for Couture from San Jose?

Ya respect isn't the issue, its jealousy. Nash thinks he has a better chance to win in Columbus then he does at a historic Canadian franchise. Although he's not that crazy, the powerhouse Rangers are on there. Hoping to play with the likes of Chris Kreider and Brandon Dubinsky I assume.

I have a feeling that he prefers America due to he lives there atm. But the main reason is that Hockey is huge (understatement in Canada) and what I've heard is that Nash is a down to earth person who likes privacy.

For instance if he moved to Canada he would be interviewed 24/7. Sure he'd be interviewed etc in these rumoured teams too. But the journalists and the media are more intense.

For instance in New York he wouldn't get too much attacked by people out on the streets. Since you got Giants, Mets, Yankees, Knicks, Nets and so on (probably forgot someone now) getting alot/more attention than Rangers do.

So he'd be living in a big city with alot of options and he wouldn't get so questioned and ''attacked'' on the streets by people like he probably would in Canada.

That's just my take of it, I dunno. Looking at the rumoured list I think that my theory may very well be true. But what do I know, I'm not Nash obviously.

Don't see how Detroit has the assets to acquire Nash, especially considering they're in the same division as Columbus.

I think Pittsburgh is out since they traded Jordan Staal already.

I think San Jose has the best chance. I bet Thornton is pushing hard.

Boston fan here. Yes please to that never offer.

Yes please. Pevs has a ntc (might be limited), but that's a trade you have to make. Big cap hit & all. And I love Pevs. Think he's one of the most underrated versatile players in the league.
And have mancrush on spooner too

I don't think the chances of SJ are as great as people think. Couture definitely won't be moved. People keep throwing names out like Clowe and Pavs. I just don't see Columbus targeting players who could walk in such a short time. I understand the whole "we can move them later for more assets" argument but IMO that's not what Howson will look to do. I still think the rangers or flyers are much more likely.

So does Columbus want to win now or rebuild? The packages will be different in either case..

Detroit?? Not trading him within the division without a huge return. Pitts?? Unless they are willing to give up neal... So its still the same teams... Rangers, sharks, flyers.. and no one out of stepan, kreider, Couture, schenn, courtier will be available, so in other news, the sun will come up tomorrow

Here's another great song. Funny as hell even though I'm a Rangers fan. Gotta have a sense of humor .

Would you trade Miller for Rickard Rakell?? He outproduced him on the same team, so that makes him better? But I know he gets extra "value" points cuz he was drafted by a top notch franchise.

And 2012 Playoff stats: Jenner-4g 7a 11p Thomas-2g 2a 4p...Who outproduced who? Thomas was like .1ppg better in the regular season. Factoring in the bonus "value" points for being a year younger and playoff performance we'll call it a wash with the "value" points Thomas gets for being Ranger property.

And since 2000 the Bluejackets have drafted 2 players who scored 20, the Rangers 4. Wow. How bout 40 goals?? Jackets: 1 and Rangers: 0...You cant add bogus "value" points to 0, thats a rule. So the simple "value" answer to to end all of this is that the Bluejackets need 2 of the 4 20 goal scorers for 1 40 goal scorer.

So 2 of Petr Prucha, Ryan Callahan, Brandon Dubinsky, Derek Stepan for Rick Nash. Simple as that.

I think we all missed something very important in the last thread. A Rangers trposter clearly implied that Rick Nash is a superstar.

Also, I love this, so those who've done it, please continue -- that is, make a definitive post about this is my final offer take it or leave it, and then continue to post. This ranks only slightly ahead of stating "I wish more people got this" to a statement that has absolutely no basis in fact whatsoever. Those are awesome, too, though. Don't want anyone thinking I said they're third-rate posts.

I love both Spooner and Knight. Spooner is electric, kid is so slick and creative. Knight is a bull in a china shop with a howitzer. I would not be able to refuse this trade though. Only thing is you'd have to take TT contract or else we would be incapable of completing this trade.
