I don't know that this guy is any better than Eklund. He has Hawks rumors every other day and how much have they really done in the past 6 months?

As for the rumor itself it's an interesting one. Fills needs for CHI, just not sure how much MTL likes Hjarlmmson.

I'm chasing down the validity of a rumor this morning involving the Hawks and the Montreal Canadiens, first reported yesterday by Eklund.
Still Eklund

We need Subban more than we need Kane and I wouldn't deal Plek for Hjarlmarsson in a million years so I pass. Never mind adding a high draft pick or two like the article suggests, Bergevin would have the shortest tenure in GM's history if he did that.

i like Kane but i don't see how this deal helps habs. it creates a huge hole at Center. Galchenyuk is not ready to step into the NHL. And markov is injury-prone - and habs offensive young D like Beaulieu are not ready to replace subban.

Who is Kane going to play with? eller?

doesn't make sense

Montreal would win this deal based on value, but lose it as they would destroy their depth up the middle.

I don't really want Pat Kane in our division, so I'm hoping it doesn't happen.

Intersting rumor, but I'd pass from a Hawks standpoint.

I wish Subban would just re-sign so these ridiculous rumours can stop.

I think it's a decent idea for both sides.

I was talking to my friend (A Montreal fan) yesterday and actually proposed almost this exact trade. I said Pleks and Subban for Kane - he said no, because of how established and good Subban was. The trade doesn't work without Subban though, imo.

Mentorship program in Montreal or not, Kane sounds like he is over the top on the partying and bad boy stuff, players like this do not do well in Habland. Besides, we do need Subban more than Kane, dont like the deal at all .

Kane is an elite scoring talent, but I think the Habs should keep Pleks and Subban...especially Subban...

Fills needs for Chicago, creates needs for Montreal.

That doesn't seem like a good idea.

JJ is on the same level of bad as Eklund, so first off and right there, this is nothing.

Second, I think it hurts the Habs while actually fills a need for the Hawks marketing moreso then how great a player Subban is, and thats as far as I will say about that.

Hawks do this all day. Habs dont.

Absolutely not from both sides. I have no interest in getting rid of Kane as a Hawks fan.

This should end there. Perfect agreement from this Habs fan.

I don't want to see Subban wear anything else than a Habs jersey, even if it is to get a legit albeit somewhat controversial star.
