A buddy of mine sent me this screenshot of Karlsson and it looks so lifelike!

Also here's the video of the new presentation. That broadcast angle near the end looks amazing!

NHL 13 graphics are actually very below average and really not that great.

It's about time.

It's really not hard to ask for semi-realistic looking players in NHL13. This should have been done by NHL08.

Meh, xbox360 and ps3 graphics engines are all out dated now. Can't wait to see how the next gen games look. Nhl15 should be sick.

Looks impressive, just wish it wasn't priced $59.99. It's essentially $9.99 add on content of an existing game.

how is updating nearly the entire game only worth 9.99? Call of Duty charges 15 bucks for 4 maps.

He's partly right, partly wrong.

Essentially, most new NHL games are a carbon copy of the previous just with over-exaggerated new features that all the NHL Fanboys get excited over. I mean last year they told me that Be A GM mode was going to be vastly improved, and it was one of the worst gaming experiences I've had in my life. Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but still. Things like "All new skating engine" is just glorified marketing ********. The argument he's making is that it's essentially a new roster update with a few minor tweaks, which is right.

The only difference I see this year is this new Online BAGM, which you couldn't get. Still, most of the features that are advertised as new are the exact same thing.

There is a bit of a difference between Anderson having the wrong coloured pads and a defenseman with the wrong logo that covers 1/30th of a helmet. I could see your point if you said "OMG, Karlsson's helmet is pink", but to complain about a logo on a dude's head is pretty ridiculous IMO.

The NHL games have always been the worst franchise on their line of major sports. It's pretty disappointing, really. I haven't enjoyed it since '10. I'll be skipping this years edition, once again.
