From a Leafs POV, no thank you.

I don't see how this trade is beneficial to either team. Seems like it is just trading players for the sake of trading players. I don't see any needs filled.

If it is Omark I think it would be a good deal for Edmonton. Not sure how well Gagner would do under Carlye.

No, I don't think this makes any sense from the Oilers perspective.

If its MPS, not Omark, I'd be tempted for sure. It would improve Leaf forward depth. Not sure why the Oilers would bite, though.

If it's MPS, I'd consider this.

small 2nd line C, which we already have, and a player that can't crack the worst roster, for a 2nd line W good for 50 points, a good, promising nhl-ready d prospect, and a 2nd? OP has to be an EDM fan.

Mac is the most underrated Leaf by all fan bases including the Leafs.

Blacker/holzer = Mps/Omark .. Or damn close at this point.
Mac = Gagner ... But we need more non-#1 C's like we need a hole in the head.

Ya I know Gagner is younger and has sooooo much potential.

Gagner has zero use in Toronto.

We already have him in Bozak.

Mac is a decent player
Holzer is a decent prospect

Neither address any needs on the oilers. No thank you.

Oilers have no need of solid D prospects (Blacker/Hozer) now that Schultz is taking his talents to the tundra.

It's all about perspective - it could also be described as a 22 year old 2nd line C who's already played 5 NHL seasons and averaged over 40 pts a year on one of the worst offensive teams in the league and a 21 year old 1st round pick with top 6 potential for a 27 year old 2nd/3rd line tweener who's only out produced Gagner once in his career, is 5 years older, plays a position of depth for the Oilers and is in his final year of his contract before he becomes a free agent. A 24 year old AHL defense man and a 2nd? OP has to be a TO fan.

He's a solid prospect. Not a blue chipper. We have enough solid D prospects in klefbom, musil, gernat, marincin, etc.

I got 2 questions. Name this depth at C you have ? And why do all Oil fans want to trade Ganger, if he is stll full of this potential ?

Holzer a big, tough, 4th round pick big, D first Dmen is likely to make the NHL after two years of NA pro hockey ... Ya you're right probably going to be ****. I mean he was not even picked 1st overall.

The Oilers have no need for a young unproven d-man who might be a good defensive d-man.

THey have lots of decent prospects on defence, as well as some already established guys.

Ya, they are in the twilight of their careers like Conolly and Komisarek and can't get any better.
