Too soft. I wouldn't be too thrilled if I were a Kick fan. I think they've taken considerable steps forward. This sounds like a step back.

I just checked and Denver has the choice of swapping 2016 1st round picks with New York as part of the Carmelo Anthony deal. So it looks like if the deal goes through Toronto will get the lower pick of either Denver or New York.

Ryan Anderson >> Bargnani

Bargs doesn't rebound or play defense and is always battling some sort of injury. After being force fed national Raps since he came into the league, I don't think he's a player you win with.

UPDATE: Knicks trade for Bargnani will NOT be approved by NBA tonight. As a result, teams will have to restructure under 2013-14 cap figures
Please. If there is a god.

Ryan Anderson is nice but I'd still take Bargnani, he just has such a crazy skillset for a seven footer,

The Bargnani doesn't play defense thing is a bit of a myth, he's a very good post defender(as he should be, he's a seven footer playing power forward) and a decent shotblocker, his a terrible rebounder though, but Chandler can cover for him like he did Dirk.

Stoudemire is untradeable, his contract is 10000000000% uninsured.

Bargnani isn't very good but it's not a bad deal for the Knicks. The only thing of value they're giving up is a 1st round pick that will be in the 20-30 range and they get a player who can create some space for Carmelo. He won't play defense or rebound at all but he can pull a big man outside because of his shooting ability. Camby and Novak make a combined $8M/yr and Bargnani makes $11M next year and $12M the year after.

Does a few other things for them. Allows em to let JR Smith walk if he wants more than one year, and with Felton and Bargnani They have the pick and pop game as oppose to just iso.

You're crazy. Ujiri is moving bad contracts, not taking on worse ones. Bargs is done in TO, he's passionless and he doesn't work on D.

What? No, it's not a myth. He really sucks at defense. I'll give you the shotblocking but he can't play man D and his rotations are trash. The best you can hope for is putting him in a zone and letting Chandler protect the rim. Who knows though, maybe the decreased pressure of having to carry a team offensively will allow him to focus more on his D.

He actually had a pretty good year one on one 2 seasons ago, probably not the case this year, but he can play defense one on one, and if you think about it why wouldn't he, he's way longer and way quicker than most players at his position, unless the guy is a vegetable out there he should be passable with an ounce of effort

Obviously the guy is not good defensively, but he does has certain things he's good at on the defensive end and he's definitely not terrible, he is a terrible rebounder though

good move for both teams. Raptors get a solid 3 point shooter on a decent contract with a 1st and 2nd. Camby will either not show up or not show up lol I don't see him coming to Toronto again, he wants a contender bottom line. His words, not mine.

Bargnani may be able to turn it around in NY given that they have excellent rebounders and scorers. so he's essentially be a bosh/3rd fiddle.

could work out for both teams.

Quentin Richardson will be the sign and trade player going to TOR to complete the deal.

I'm italian but I'm also a Knicks fan... and I REALLY hope he doesn't come to NY. Soft, no passion, horrible D, often injured. Stay away from my team, "Mago"!

i dont want this. Taking away novak is taking away a big threat. Give amare another season when hes actually healthy. Amares better anyway. As for the 1st and 2nd round picks thats too high.
