I am seeing a logjam forming at LW
Ovi
Chimera
Hendricks
Wolski
LW/C
MJ
MP
Laich
Sjogren
Say Ovi gets moved to RW, one will be at 3C, say Sjogren in Hershey.
That's 5 left shots.
20+ goals 3 years ago, I have a feeling the Robertski rebuild was brought here to try to steal a wide open scoring wing slot. Ha I wouldn't mind if Roberts showed up with him.
I have no idea what kind of coach Oates is, but I'd suggest something to give Wolski electric shocks when he's slacking on a shift.
Built in electronic dog collars built into the shoulder pads should do the trick. Then watch the assistant coaches behind the bench fighting over the remote control that activates it. Works for me.
It's a compliment to the current guys. He isn't a better offensive option at wing than Alex, MJo, Brouwer or Laich, and putting him on the bottom six is a bad idea.
He has to be setting up something. Just waiting for the right deal/time.
I keep telling myself that.
This is my view. I still think a trade happens between now and the start of the season to bring in a top six winger.
Also, agree about the earlier comments about this UFA class and not sure what people were expecting. It's interesting to read through the back and forth on that topic and now read the reactions to this signings. Low risk even if it's a one-way contract..
Not a bad dumpster dive at all. Never know how they turn out but the terms are more than OK even if it doesn't pan out=win.
This was a signing I expected of GMGM. Not necessarily the player, but the cheap contract for a proven NHL player. This being a cheap, two-way contract makes this a decent signing. I don't expect much from the player, but I do hope I am wrong. I wish the best for him.
wolski is signed to a backup player contract. i dont see anything to this. league minimum player signed to backup for injuries and add some competition to camp

If so, they shouldn't be telling him he's going to be a top 6.
At the 2:20 mark, Whyno asks if the caps have given him any indication on what his role will be, whether the caps see him as top six.
Wolski replied that they had, its definitely in that role after a pause.
He kind of led him. Whats he supposed to say, no I think i'll be bouncing between Hershey and the Caps.
he is an offensive forward. likely he plays in the top 6 or doesnt play. it means he is not skating 4th line energy or 3rd line checking. thats all that tells me.
the $600k contract or lowest paycheck on the team should tell anyone including wolski he is not signed as a starting top 6 player
