Yup. That was playoff hockey.

Sirrius/XM NHL Home Ice preview of the Sharks will be 8/29 (2-3pm), if I've got my alphabet correctly.

(They're doing Eastern Conference @1pm hour; Western Conference @2pm hour.)

The only person who showed up was Greiss. And he was just skating around padless according to David Pollak

Greiss will convert to RW and solve our top 6 depth.

I think you over-rate Greiss. 3rd line winger at best.

Quickie cap skate report.

Greiss (~25 minutes), Burns, and late-to-ice Stalberg were the Shark player representatives. Plus NHLer Tikhonov, and a handful of pick up guys (including off ice S&CC Potenza).

Burns was extremely energetic (I got a big smile when I compared his energy level to a kid on Christmas morning) and playful.

Had a brief chat with Stalberg - seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders.

A short but interesting article on DW saying that the NHL should expect a couple of Aussie players in the league in the next couple of years.

He's probably only saying that because his son is playing there right now.

As an NHL millionaire, I would definitely go play somewhere by the Alps during lockouts... It's alot better than some industrial town that's for sure! =)

Man, they didn't include Demers. He was an 82 last year so I wanted to know if they downgraded him after his down season.

Winnik?

Sharks cap skate: Only Greiss on the ice (who's a Sharks contracted player). But Greiss was not in nets (let one of the pick up guys wear his gear; he must have wanted to work on his puck handling skills by dressing as skater -- in goalie skates). Coyotes' Tikhonov and Devils prospect McPherson (http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p...php?pid=102360) from Sacramento the only other "NHL" contracted players.

(Yes, I have pix; check out my twitter feed)

That is all kinds of awful.

Anyone see that Edmonton's defense is rated the same as LA, SJ, St. Louis, and Vancouver?

SanJoseSharks: Last weekend, @Logancouture hosted a charity game to raise money for his youth team when he received a surprise honor. http://t.co/ToppIm3M
