Pittsburgh Penguins official Iphone Application! (Finally Came out)

Penguins decided to finally come out with a iPhone application and actually it is very impressive.

Created by Yinz cam for iPhone it is called "Pittsburgh Penguins Mobile".

Offers the same news reports that the official site does and is live. Also has video, schedule, statistics, standings and pretty much every feature that the regular sight offers. Just came out March 24th, 2010 and like I said, very impressive. This is NOT the application that Yinz cam previously came out with that works just in the arena. This application is essentially the SAME thing as the website.

Has amazing graphics and loads quickly. Best part is, it is free!

Try checking here on the yinzcam webpage for information. But also, check the blackberry's app store and search for yinzcam and see what comes up. There is an application I know of that is for use only inside of Mellon Arena. This is a new and separate one by the same creators.

Check this site though : http://yinzcam.com/

They need a commercial with Talbot saying "Yeah they got an app for that too" and then he shows his Iphone with the Pens app.

Iphone had an amazing marketing campaign but the phones are just soo damn fragile and Iphone is annoying with their security crap. Touch screen phones with the Android Os are better, the new ones are anyway. HTC has a bad stigma because they used their own OS in the past but their phones with the Droid OS are great. Played around with a friend's HTC phone that he just recently got and I wished I didn't have my 32gig 3GS.

I actually have heard a lot of bad things about the android's touch screen and not many bad things about people with iPhone's (especially people who take care of them). I think the reason the iPhone is so likeable is due to the iPod being a great mp3 player. To each his own I suppose....

Don't get me wrong, I do like my Iphone, but when trying to add music and what not, it's troublesome. Unless I bring a USB with me when I go to a friend's house and like a few songs, adding them is annoying when you do it off of someone else's cpu. I guess it's the same for Ipod's in general and not just the Iphone. There probably is a way around that and I am just way too lazy to find out or pay attention.

I like the new Android phones, I mean there are a few kinks that need to be worked out but for the most part, they aren't as bad as people believe them to be. I've only had my Iphone for about 6 months so I'm not going to go and buy a new one asap. When Android does come out with a phone that gets a ton of buzz for being as good as Iphone or better...I'll make the switch.

I just took a mini vacation to pittsburgh and I used my droid for everything. I recorded the opening to the pens flyers, then had it take me to primantis, dicarlos and my grandmas. I'm browsing hf and posting this now on it. I have to admit though if apple was with verizon I would probably have an iphone.

I think the first google phone had an iffy screen. I can't recommend the droid enough though.

But were way off topic though.

I just downloaded it and I'm impressed so far. It seems pretty professional and useful. I can definitely see myself using it a good deal.

This droid chat confuses me. I have the HTC Hero, can I download this? I went to the YinzCam site, didn't see anything.

No problem. I wanted to make sure I spread the word because it really is a well done application. One of the better ones I have (well of course it is the best because it's Penguins related) but even as far as how it functions. It is an impressive app.

I didn't want to create a new thread, anyone know where I can get a good Penguins Iphone 4s case? I kind of didn't want a hard case, I think I would prefer a gel case but I'm not sure. All I could find on Ebay were hard cases from hong kong.
