Jokes aside, I really like Mueller. He needs top 6 action on the left wing or point time on the PP to be most effective, but his slap shot is a thing of beauty when he's given time and space to unload.
He could probably replace Garrison on the point on the PP, but the left side instead of right.
Good to know about PP time/his shot. I rarely watch Avs/Coyotes games. Panthers need Top 6 centre's though more than wingers.

Mueller is much better at RW than C IMO. The Panthers could use a top 6 winger though, so if Mueller is healthy, they got one in him. He'll definitely provide some offense and the Panthers will more than welcome that. I hope he works out for them.
That sucks...need 2C guy behind Weiss.

If he gets hurt, the Panthers can try and fill the roster with prospects. If he stays healthy they have a step-up on retaining him. Without the signing the Panthers have to rely on players remaining healthy or rookies making significant contributions,w which isn't ideal for a team trying to remain in the playoff picture.

No real downside for anyone.
Exactly. Smart post. Shore might be the "safety net" guy IF Huberdeau/Howden make the team and Bjugstad is sent back to college.

Still, they've got a nice looking lineup providing everyone stays healthy:

Versteeg - Weiss - Fleischmann
Huberdeau - X - Mueller
Bergenheim - Goc - Upshall
Kopecky - Matthias - Skille
Parros + Santorelli

Should definitely be competitive in the southwest again barring any injuries.
Just what I was thinking for the lines, maybe Mueller at centre with Howden or Upshall on that line. Bergie can play top 6 LW minutes in a pinch with injuries during the season. Deep four line club with one more top 6 addition at centre OR right wing.

Wish Muels nothing but the best.

If he can return to pre-concussion form this will be the biggest F/A steal of the year. Book it.

If he was that ready, why would he even consider going back to school? I highly doubt he's as developed as some people think.

I honestly cant say I am all that impressed with their current roster.

However Tallon has done a good job with the limited amount of resources he has at his disposal.

Florida is a hard team to predict standings wise as the Southeast is without a doubt the weakest division in hockey on paper as it stands now (IMO). They could easily challenge for the division title, or miss the playoffs all together. Should be interesting to follow.

Best of luck to Mueller, I just hope he can string together a full season!

I guess they are more confident after their previous Avs reclamation project (Fleschmann) worked out

This gives the panthers some pretty good core forwards especially with Huberdeau probably making the lineup. If they can get a goalie I would say they have a decent chance of taking the Southeast again.

I suppose. I'm used to EA NHL 12 where my players have no personal lives or feelings

just as we see wolski sign for a nothing-contract, lots of us wanted tallon to match that contract to retain him. instead tallon goes out and gets muller! I have been a fan of his since his draft year, so this makes me a happy fan! perfect situation for muller where he can go out, show he deserves a big contract next year and we have our top6 winger!
btw, with him being 24, is he still a UFA next summer or does he become rfa?

Wanted him on the Penguins, but can understand why Shero might not have made an offer for him.

Good luck in FLA Peter.

Don't get this. If Mueller is healthy then they can both play.
