Starcraft. I think that the storyline and the characters are great. I think a movie is a necessity. Well...6 if you include brood wars.

Also a movie about Elvis, Led Zeppelin and maybe Kurt Cobain.

A film based on this book would be pretty good I think. It tells the story of the Black Death from the viewpoint of an English village, and how the people dealt with it. The total uncertainty and fear that came with it, and how they tried to live with death all around them.

And considering that there has not ever been a decent film about the Black Death (the film Black Death from 2010 doesn't count, it really had nothing to do with the plague) it would make sense I'd think.

I'd love to see a DragonLance live action movie. The casting would have to be incredible for it to work though.

A Gunslinger movie would be absolutely epic, but again if the casting wasn't perfect, it wouldn't work.

I personally want to see Bioshock and Halo made into movies.

Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. I know they made The Golden Compass but it sucked so much. It's a magical world. It just needs the right person to make the transition to movies.

It does kinda make sense. Blockbusters try to bombard you with so many mindless thrills and sensations, they may as well legitimately throw sex into the mix as well and overlap with porn.

Agreed, always wanted to see Halo made. If done properly I think it could be very good.

Start it back at the beginning like the Fall of Reach book, where it tells the story of him getting kidnapped and trained into a spartan.

Definitely want to see a Halo movie. More cause of the fact that we'll probably get bombarded with a whole bunch of Halo merchandise if that happens. I can see it now...a talking Master Chief toy. Cooooool.

If they're going to make something of Blizzard's into a movie, it should be Diablo. It has the best storyline, and there is specific aspects of the games such as the atmosphere which would be most compatible with conversion into film.

Dan Simmons' Hyperion - all four books. Don't know how many movies it'd take, but I'd watch them all repeatedly.

Simo "The White Death" Häyhä

World's Greatest Sniper needs his own movie.

I feel StarCraft has better characters and better potential for a solid character arc with the Rayner/Kerrigan thing.

I feel "New Warden" could be a great movie. Could even cast James Lipton himself.

Finnpin just reminded me of war films - there are so many great stories that deserve to be filmed. Too bad 99% will never happen because their heroes were the "bad" guys...

The Starcraft Universe is so much more than the Diablo one. The storyline is definately better in Starcraft aswell.

Do not agree at all.

Absolutely.

The books are great, especially all of Nylunds.

What about Mass Effect? I played only the first game, but I thought it was great.

Another books/videogames tip is The Witcher, but Im not sure if this one is known in NA.

Some good ones already mentioned.

For the young teen crowd, 'Crazy Horse Electric Game' has the ability to be adapted into at minimum a crudy film.

Mysteries of Pittsburgh I can't even find in the bin at Walmart but I hear they butchered that, so I typically don't want to see lots of books I read to be adapted to film although the Hunger Games should be excellent on the screen.
