Aren't we all supposed to be metal brothers??? Sheesh.

Elitist nutbags. What do you expect? Just have to sit back and laugh at the stupidity; they're nearly as bad as hipsters.

You should love some of their songs. They need more recognition.

La Voz Dormida

Que el viento sople a tu favor

La cantata del diablo (Completa)
Loving this band so far! Don't care if I can't understand Spanish, I always put the music ahead of the lyrics anyway.

exactly this...

I like all Death, I just dislike pompous ***** speaking in absolute: the "not even close" type, "because I say so".

Honestly, I wouldn't even begin to call myself a Death fan. I can acknowledge the influence from a 'spreading it around' standpoint, but musically they're been useless to me.

At no point in their career were they doing something that wasn't being done better by someone else.

Early albums I'd sooner listen to Possessed, Massacre, Master, etc.
Middle albums are trumped by Cynic's demo work (and not their awful albums)
and the later albums I'd just sooner listen to Coroner

It can be annoying at first but after a song or 2 youre seeing the beuty with it. It ads another dimension to it and the spannish sounds awesome in metal. Same with Japanese bands who sings in japanese. Mägo De Oz has such amazing music that even if there were no singer it would still be awesome

Been jammin' Superjoint Ritual this morning. I forgot how sick this instrumental track of theirs is:

Phil Anselmo can play a mean guitar. Even though I already knew that.

This intro. I have heard it before... HELP ME METALPEOPLE.
Also, the fast guitarparts afterwards the intro sounds Rhapsodylike. Pride of the tyrant?

are you saying those albums are comparable in someway? sure, Massacre is basically Death, which is kind of surprising you consider that superior, but Possessed isn't exactly death metal, and Master-their classic album, which I don't remember the name of, with Paul Masvidal playing the guitars, is thrash.

the early Cynic demos are nice but they aren't exactly comparable to the Human/Individual Death era, they are a bit more alike with the early Death.

and Coroner wtf? how is Coroner relevant in a discussion about later Death albums or any Death albums?

it seems to me you just pulled random bands out of your ass just to make you look more knowledgeable.

The keyboard part of the intro reminds me of Shy by Sonata Arctica. It isn't identical and vocals are obviously very different but the keys sound kinda similar. What follows during the next 40-50 seconds or so sounds to me like a mixture of Korpiklaani, Celesty and Kenziner.

Just noticed this band from Montreal, what does everyone think? It has a neoclassical Castlevanian feel to it.

In what way is Possessed not death metal? Seven Churches is arguably the first full length death metal album.

As far as Master, what? On The Seventh Day God Created ... Master is blatantly death metal, and even going so far back as their unreleased 1985 album I don't see how one could say that Mantas or demo era Death is any more death metal than it.

As for your Cynic comment,

And Coroner is a perfect reference point for later Death. Techy "prog" thrash with a focus on intricate rhythm work and flashy lead guitars.

EDIT: I really wish this power 'metal' trash could be given its own thread. Absolutely nauseating and a disgrace to the great albums that bands like Jag Panzer, Attacker, Omen, Riot, etc. put out.

Or instead of each type of metal getting it's own thread, we could just try to get along

I really wish this band would have continued their career because their two demos are amongst the best death metal I've heard/
