Hope Kadri or JVR can end up playing C consistently.

am i wrong in thinking hjarlmarsson is alot like gunnar (a more expensive one at that)..... maybe hes got a bit more grit but is he a need on our team

(if is was for a 2nd line center like connolly and a pick id be game for sure though hahahaha)

I still have high hopes for Colborne as I see him as the prospect who was tearing up the AHL before his injury more so than the injured center afterwards. If you sign Getzlaf, if Wilson & Colborne were to reach their potential - I'd movGrabo and go for the size factor up the middle.

Man, I'd take a grittier Gunnarsson every day of the week on this team!

Did I miss something who's this Wilson the Leafs have that I don't know about?

I dont know that Burke would go after Thomas, after what has gone on in Boston, or if he wouldnt out of respect. But just a thought. Thomas could be that goalie we sign for 2yrs and a lesser pay or 1yr more money..to mentor and play the way Thomas can play I think we would be in the playoffs for sure...not to mention maybe we blow up Boston this year as KARMA
Do you mean after this season?

He has a contract for next year.

That Hockey Insider dude on Twitter is saying Frattin + 2nd was offered for Bernier. Could be BS, but sounds fair!

goaltending is more important than a forward but not fully sold on Bernier.

Lots of rumors that Leafs have given up on Luongo...which is a good thing cause Canucks asking way too much for him.

Bernier #1 priority right now... but if that doesn't turn out and Luongo goes to Florida, Leafs could go after Jose Theodore.

i think theodore has a ntc. but even then, i would think any trade that involves luongo to florida involves theodore going to vancouver (assuming he waives to go there).

Bernier is worse option than Luongo. LA wants a leaf roster player to improve scoring and Macarthur is not enough so we know who is left. That said, I trust Burke will not overpay for a unproven goalie.

No idea. But I don't think Frattin or Mac are a compelling enough scoring option when LA is short on offence. Or there is a multitude of prospects.

The only way Lupul gets dealt is if there is no chance of him resigning with the Leafs.

Rumor has it that Vancouver is demanding Markstrom in return ... which if it's true, Gillis really need to give his head a shake!!!

I may be in the minority here but I would trade Lupul for Bernier.

What's the reasoning behind that?
