"Big Assist IV is a Big Hit & Chris Kreider is a Gem"

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Julie...a-Gem/99/45562

Found this article on HockeyBuzz (don't worry, has nothing to do with Ek or any rumors). Very, very cool story about Kreider toward the end, I thought some of you people would appreciate it like I did. Enjoy.

My friend Gina who goes to BC is friends with Kreider. Before he hit the NHL she told me he was a gentleman and a very down to earth guy. That article just backs that up. I'm so happy the Rangers have a class act and talent like Kreider.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Chris at BC a few times and my experience is identical. 100% class act.

Outstanding. Somebody post this link in the Nash trade thread so all the delusional CBJ fans can see what they are not getting from the Rangers.

i used to live in Stamford. kinda wish i still lived there for reasons like this... lol awesome article, though. i even would have stayed and watch him skate around for 30 minutes afterwards, if they'd have let me. can't wait till the season starts, just so i can see Kreider back on the ice.

He refused to sign a Bruins hat

And to think some of you were actually saying he's not gonna sign and go to Boston

On the flip side, could you imagine the reaction on these boards if he had done something as trivial as signing some kids' stupid Bruins hat?

"Kreider is a traitor!!!!"

"Will Kreider's immaturity be an issue this upcoming season?"

"Proposal: Kreider plus Rozsival, Prucha, and a 2nd for Zdeno Chara"

"Which happens first, Staal to Carolina or Kreider to Boston?"

"Is Kreider going to have the same legacy that Babe Ruth does in Boston?"

Julie loves Chris Kreider. She reported Kreider was playing in game 3 against Ottawa before anyone else.

That is awesome. I'm glad to see that the rangers have added to the classy guys in the locker room.

I'm also a huge redskin fan and can draw so many parallels to both organizations. Including the addition of classy rookies in the locker room.

God I can't wait until the seasons start.

Haha, he probably didn't really need to decline to sign stuff with rivals logos on it, but it's a nice gesture to the Rangers and their fans. And I'm glad he did it politely

really an awesome read. i love it when pros show their appreciation for events like this. kreider seems like a great kid. he seems to be making the most of the situation he is in and not taking a moment for granted. it makes me proud to be a Ranger fan.

Kreider seems to very grounded and self aware. Bodes well for him. The Rangers got quite the gem in that pick.
