Awesome story. A real class move on his part. Very excited to see how good he can be in the future, and great to have another player of high character on a team already full of them.

Good stuff. Secretly, I have unrealistically high expectations of Kreider but I'll look like an idiot voicing them It's good to see he's got the heart needed to be the elite player that I'm hoping he'll turn out to be.

Awesome story. This kid is just class all through. Doesn't suprise me though. There's a Swedish blog written by a reporter who has access to the Rangers locker room and basically watches every game. Apparently at some point during the playoffs a whole bunch of reporters came up to Kreider in the locker room and wanted to speak with him. Kreider refused to do this inside the locker room because to him, it didn't feel right to come in and answer questions in a locker room where other players had spent the whole season, so instead he went out to the corridor and answered all the questions there.

Needless to say, the Swedish reporter was quite impressed.

When I read that he purposely took the media out of the locker room to take questions when he first arrived to the Rangers, instead of disrupting what the rest of the team was accustomed to, I knew right away this kid was special.

Not only does it take balls to tell a group of beat writers to move, but at his age to be that mature, unselfish and aware of everything going on around him spoke volumes of the kid. After hearing him speak in interviews and reading articles like this, I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Very happy the Rangers got a big time character kid on this squad and im sure that was part of the reasoning that when into selecting him in the draft.
