Michal Rozsival to Blackhawks

Chris Kuc @Chriskuc

no surprises that he left but to Chicago is pretty weird. Discuss

I thought he was headed back to Europe?

Solid guy, I guess he impressed Chicago in the playoffs.

Per @JoshRimerHockey, Michal Rozsival's one-year deal with #Blackhawks is for $2 million.

Decent Deal for him. Now we can look to our prospects to step up in the 6th and 7th spots

Pretty effective player for 40-60 games of a season. Beyond that he's either injured or out of gas.

Funny thing I noticed today. When you turn down Bethany Home road from 91st Ave to the Freeway, there are Coyotes player's posters on poles all the way down. The first three are Rozy, Langkow and Whitney. I'd say it's about time to take them down.

I also thought he was going to sign with Prague in their 1st year in the KHL.
, but then again he still might play with them.
I am surprised that he signed with the 'Hawks considering they really don't need another d'man.

He's an improvement on the corpse of Sean O'Donnell they carried for 51 games last season.

I thought he deserved more credit than a lot of posters here gave him.

Rozi at best was a band-aid to cover the loss of Z but no that Z is back there is no need for Rozi.

It shows that we fans are spoiled with how well the d'men play.

...and the need to give some of the other d'men some ice time too! Michalek plays a different role than Rosival. Stone, Schlemko, and Summers had just as much to do with the decision to let Rozie walk as reacquiring Michalek.

Gonna miss Roszival but we're too cluttered with good-to-great defenders to keep him around. Same with Aucoin and when his contract run out, Morris.

Imagine in two or three years this D-corps:

Yandle-OEL
Michalek-Gormley
Rundblad-Summers
Stone

I would be inclined to change that just a bit because of the fact that I think Yandle is not quite as efficient defensively as OEL and Gormley so having Michalek would be more beneficial to balancing the lines. Then it's just a matter of seeing who plays better on the right side between Gormley and OEL.

Yandle - Michalek
Gormley - OEL
Rundblad - Summers/Stone
Murphy
