Duncan seimens

we had two first round picks in last years draft. duncan was almost eligable for this years draft due to his young age. where would he have been picked in this years draft? how does duncan measure up to this years crop of d men that were just drafted?

He would have been picked in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I'd say he would have been picked in the 10-20 range again this year. GMs love defensemen like him that have that combination of a real nasty streak, size, and good skating ability. There were a few defensemen drafted in the top 10 that I wouldn't take over Siemens (Pouliot, Koekkoek), but I might take Ceci over him.

He would've been the defensive version of Cody Ceci. Guess somewhere around 8-15. Just like where he was drafted.

He had a concussion this year. There have been plenty of players who dropped a lot of spots because they were injured during their draft year.

Didn't seem to change much this year with Koekkoek, Galchenyuk, and Rielly all missing big parts of the year and still being in the top 10. With the draft being seen a weak, someone like Siemens would have jumped up the draft boards because of his skill set despite his average numbers this year. Lindholm is a good example of this in the 2012 draft. He was picked way higher than he normally would have because of his potential.

Hishon was ranked so low because of injuries. Avs wanted an injured player, Avs have an injured player. The problem? Using first rounder for that.

Also left training camp with a hand problem.
Also got a concussion (bad one).

He's pretty unlucky imo.
