Just saw it on Scott Browns twitter. I like this, he's got good puck smarts, hopefully some can rub off on the younger guys again. Maybe the thought to shoot the puck once in awhile can rub off on Welly too.

This post is bang on Not a Wellwood fan at all and would love to see him replaced with one of the young guys, but it is what it is I guess .

Sigh...not bad term and money if that's true, but I just don't see where he fits. I wanted a top 6 talent. Failing that I would have rather given Scheifele and Telegin a better chance to move up. Had no desire to have Wellwood back, personally.

Yeah, I'm surprised for sure and thought they would probably look to upgrade in that spot if they were going to bring someone in.. But getting a guy who had almost 50 points last year for 1.6 million is a pretty good deal.

A year year deal is great for us. Wellwood is pretty versatile, so if one of the young guys is ready, Wellwood can always go down a line.
