I keep seeing this opinion expressed and it makes me wonder why people think Oilers players will automatically do what their employers say even when their employers are no longer employing them (that's what a lockout is). I don't know about you guys, but if I showed up at work and my boss had locked the doors and said he wouldn't be paying me for a year or however long it took him to break my union and reduce my salary before taking me back, I really wouldn't gives a rat's ass where he thinks I should go work in the meantime.

Because last lockout ELC players didn't have a say, I'm assuming that is the same this time around.

Maybe it wasn't even ELC, just players under a certain age.

Hall said he would play in either Switzerland or Finland, and essentially told the Edmonton media he hates Russia.

It does not sound like OKC is on his radar.

I think that would work well for Hall. He can just go dominate offensively and hopefully carry it over to the NHL. If any injuries are lingering I'm sure a less physical league would be nice for him to ease back into hockey.

I hope Eberle goes to OKC though. It's not a horrible league and there would be plenty of NHLers if there's a lockout. He'll be a great example for our prospects, he'll be leading the team and go deep into the playoffs. It's also nice to keep him in our system so our coaching staff could stay involved.

I wonder where Dubnyk goes. He's a long-term project of ours so I think we'd like to keep tabs on him, so AHL is a good option.

That's kind of disrespectful to guys like Nail and Khabi isn't it?

Not unless he said he hates Russians, I don't think so.

Not a chance Eberle rides the bus in OKC.

Does anyone think the two wont play on the same team where ever that is? They are good friends and room mates they will both go to the same team.

I saw an article the other day saying EV Zug, the same team who signed Omark, have been talking with Gagner.

Please no. Omark and Gagner are a terrible combination, they'd probably be a minus line even in the Swiss league. Leave Gagner alone Omark!!!

Hall and Ebs should be able to play wherever they want. The league is locking them out, not vice versa. And if I were them, it'd be a great experience to play in another country. But I can't blame Hall for not wanting to play in Russia. I'm NOT anti-Russian, but you hear stories about what it's like over there and it's not all pretty. Corruption abounds.

I could imagine Hall macking on the wrong chick and disappearing shortly after. I wouldn't want to make my living in a country that's so corrupt.

Hell we'd have to listen to Replacement ***** all season long about how Gagner's sparkling defense was once again ruined by Omark.

Reason #243 for no lockout.
