Gather a couple of beers/cocktails (beers ideally) a circle of friends, and blast ACDC's Thunderstruck. Every time the word "thunder" is said, a person starts drinking and after every thunder, the person who was drinking stops and the next person starts.

There's about two parts in the song where thunder isn't said for a good 30-40 seconds, leaving that person drinking for the last "thunder" pretty much screwed. Fairly simple, but pretty funny.

I created a drinking game called thunderstruck. in a lightning strom you start drinking a beer when you hear thunder. drink till you see a flash of lightning. This is the only time you stop drinking. if your beer runs dry before you see the next flash take a shot and get a new beer. between the flash and boom is the only time your allowed to replace your beer without taking a shot. Try to out last the storm.

Awesome. Found a coupon code for thrifty that gets me a Mustang Convertible for 5 nights on Oahu and 5 nights on Kauai for <$500 total. Cars for the 3 nights in San Francisco are cheap (on the order of $85 @ Hotwire). Now I just need a car for Maui. I really want to get a Jeep Wrangler there.. Open air + 4WD on the Road to Hana would be nice

edit: trolololo the same coupon code from Thrifty works at Dollar, too. Booked a Mustang Convertible there for <$300, which is even more unbelievable being that it's a one-way rental (renting in JHM and returning to OGG). Less than $900 total and we're driving a convertible the full time in Hawaii. **** YEAH!!!

Going up in a cherry picker during a lightning storm is probably a bad idea.

Make sure for the Road to Hana you leave very early and you don't stay too long as it's an extremely long and windy road.

Dark Knight trilogy at AMC Rockaway starting at 6.

That sounds like it will be awesome. I'm either going at midnight tonight or tomorrow night with a group of friends. Expectations are high.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. It takes a while to get to the top to begin with.

However, if you really must do the Hana Highway in a day, go just before sunrise and return after sunset: On a full-moon night, the sea and the waterfalls glow in soft white light, with mysterious shadows appearing in the jungle. And you'll have the road almost to yourself on the way back.
