We say that every year, haha. I think we've been complaining about drafting corners since 2000. They did have the best pass d in the league last year, just no INT's.

I agree, though, Ike, Troy and Clark are getting old.

We gotta find out what we have with the young corners before we start calling for their heads. I'm perfectly fine with drafting corners in the 2nd-4th round as we've been doing. Ike himself was a 4th rounder. Like with running backs, the development of corners is so hard to predict that it's hard to justify a very high pick on one in my eyes...though with where the Steelers tend to pick in the 1st round it's much less of an issue. I just have high hopes for Cortez Allen and think Lewis will be a fine corner.

Safety is definitely a concern, though. Our back-ups at both position are mediocre back-ups and nothing more and both Troy and Clark are getting up there in age. Troy has already said numerous times that he intends to retire while he's still got a body left to preserve so I can't see him playing more than 3 more seasons.

And our luck you know we'll play another playoff game in Denver where Clark can't play for fear of his insides melting

Just bench Sunseri already. He sucks and can't even get the plays off in time.

I wonder what will happen if Pitt ever gets a good QB.

For 8 years, the QB of the team has been public enemy number 1.

Steelers have picked up CB DeMarcus Van Dyke, a 3rd-round pick of the Raiders last year. He's super fast and has solid size but doesn't play anywhere near them, neither last year during spot time or in college. A very typical Raiders pick, nice measurables but not very good at football. New Raiders GM has basically enacted a scorched earth policy with their 2011 secondary.

Low-risk with moderate upside, as likely to turn out as a serviceable depth CB as being waived in a couple of weeks.

Jesus, Sunseri

There are 5 seconds left, you can't ****ing triple-clutch the ball. Sunseri is ****ing terrible. Get him off the field.

I need anger management counseling to deal with watching Pitt football. Can you believe that joke of a QB is a senior too? What a ****ing joke

Just 8 years?

I think Rod Rutherford may be the best Pitt QB I've seen and he was lousy.

I know Pitt wants to redshirt the freshman QB they got but I think after getting smashed by Va Tech next week, they should seriously consider letting him play against Gardener-Webb since they have a bye the following week and can get him ready to start during that off time.

Sunseri makes me not want to watch Pitt. He's started 30 games and still makes mistakes that a decent high school qb wouldn't.

Nice run to set up another Sunseri red zone disaster. My guess is he takes a bad sack on 3rd down and they miss the field goal.

Sunseri ..holy jumpin'.

I realize it's a ''transition'' year and he's had a bunch of different coaches but Christ, that shouldn't matter when all you have to do is float a pass in.

And you know the game is over when they are giving you updates on the kid scarfing down the Skyline Chili.

Amen. Get Voytik out there and let him play. CANT CANT CANT be worse than SENIOR Sunseri. I went to a high school game last week and both QBs were better than him. You could handpick a random fan out of any game to be QB and he would be better than Tino. God I miss Palko, Rutherford. This is football. The most important position on the field cannot be avoided for this long. Stull sucked, and Tino carried that suckage along. That has to be 2 of the worst back to back quarterbacks at a major program in the history of college football.

Stull played pretty well his senior year, though the team around him helped with that. I remember people wanting Sunseri to play Stull's senior year too. He came in late a few games and threw a TD pass or two. Too bad it's been all downhill from there.
