Does anyone but me hope that jay feaster finds a way to trade Matt stajan and sign Dominic Moore to fill his role on the 4th line? He is sort of big, great in faceoffs, good penalty killer and can put up some offensive numbers. How about 2 years around 2 mil per? Maybe 1.75?
Would prefer to keep Stajan unless we need the cap space, last year showed anything can happen having another player that can pk + win faceoffs and is defensively responsible is a good thing. But if we are looking for a faceoff specialist I say yes to Moore.
The more I think about it I too kind of prefer stajan now just because of his ability to move up in the lineup to the 1st or second line, where as Moore is stuck as a 3rd/4th liner
Moore would be a nice addition, but if we're losing Stajan....why not just keep Stajan. At least he can step into any role if needed. Moore belongs on the 4th line.
Why does people think we need to change the 4th line there are 2guys that scored 20 goals and a guy who put up 15 once lets not try to improve that we need to inprove in top 2 centers thats it

Cervenka by all accounts. If he doesn't work out then someone else but here is no reason otherwise to think he isn't slotting in as a 1/2 center.

I am not saying its a good idea, but from what i've read it looks like they are going to try Cervenka.
IMO I'd rather put backlund on the top line and keep cervenka on the 2nd with his country man hudler.
I wouldn't put Backlund on the 1st line to begin the season. Let's say he is put on the 1st line to begin the season and doesn't perform to standards, his confidence will take a fall. Look what happened last season. If I remember correctly, he was put on the 1st line when he was healthy, and never performed well so his confidence took a blow.
I'd put him on the 3rd for the 1st 20 games or so, and then put him on the 1st line. (If Cervenka doesn't perform to standards)

No at this point Backlund is behind Cammy and Stajan as options he clearly wasn't ready last year no need to force him. Give Backlund a year on the 3rd line with less pressure and consistent linemates and see what he can do.

Yeah I agree. I would even say Backlund better watch his job coming training camp.

That's assuming Cammy plays center. I'd say he's behind Cervenka too
I remember reading somewhere (sorry no link) that Feaster said if they could not find a top line center that Cammy would play that role. Feaster said he'd prefer Cammy on the wing, but if they could not find someone then he'd have Cammy as our 1C.
