Terrible for the Jets....

Boston would have to throw in another big piece.

Not sure either team would do it, but the value is fair and certainly tempting for both to at least consider it.

As a Bruins fan - I'm on the fence. I'm not sure I'd give up Lucic, but that's about what it'd take to pry away Kane.

I don't think the Jets do it though.

From a value standpoint, it's not bad.

My biggest objection from the Jets standpoint is that Kane has potential to become better than Lucic or Krejci.

Agree but hasn't there been some issue with Kane on the jets. Not to mention you get two top 6 forwards and I think Boston has been a good trade partner with the Jets recently. I think Win Win for both.

And why would a proposal for Kane involve Seguin?

I wouldnt do this deal from a Boston POV I don't think, I'm kind of on the fence. Kane wouldnt be that much of an upgrade production wise next season for us, and I've never been a huge fan of Buff. I'm still holding out hope that Krejci is the main part of a deal going back to the Ducks for Ryan.

Value looks decent I guess...but I'm gonna say no I think.

I would move Byfuglien back to forward and Kane will be a upgrade over Lucic and Krejci. I think it's fair value and I do like Ryan but rather have Kane.

I don't see why Boston does this.

Boston loses 2 top 6 forwards and replaces them with 1. They then depend a lot more on Horton having a healthy year. Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Id rather give up Krejci for Ryan than Krejci/Lucic for Kane/Buff. Lucic is a huge part of our core, I dont want to trade him if I can.

You move Byfuglien back to forward like he was in Chicago. Hes 6'5 280 he would be a beast in Boston just like Kane would be pairing him with Seguin

The idea of a 280 pound forward doesnt really excite me.....

I also doubt Chiarelli would give up Lucic/Krejci in a deal where the intent would be to move the player to a different position...the position which isnt his natural position.

Not interested in this unless it has Bergeron or Seguin.

You really think Kane would fetch either one of them?

Pass.

The Jets will take their time re-signing Kane. There is no "issue" as was claimed earlier in this thread. Kane's agent and the Jets are in negotiations; he hasn't asked to be traded, that is why they are negotiating. Cheveldayoff didn't re-sign Bogosian until just prior to camp, he is a patient guy and will re-sign Kane when he is ready.

Kane isn't for sale. To summarize, thanks for calling.

Kane alone, prolly not. But Krejci is not a piece we need. Do why trade for him?

Lucic is good because after we trade Kane, he'll fill a need...but Krejci is a second line centre...and we have lots of those.

I'd be willing to add to Buff and Kane to get Bergeron or Seguin, but it would be a pick. The value isn't that far off. In a few years Kane could net 50g in a year and be Boston's(or Wpg's) most prolific scorer. He also brings the physicality that the Bruins are known for.

Buff is s big bodied defenseman that is figuring out his position. But...he also puts up fifty points while he's doing that and has a rocket from the point.

Whether you like it or not, both are quality players and I'd sooner have either of them over Lucic and Krejci.

You'd need to put a piece in that would make Wpg want to do this. A physical LW(which we have two of) and a 2nd line centre(which we have 3 of with another in production) does not accomplish that.

I think Boston needs to add. They'd get toughness and size back so it lessens the blow of losing Lucic, but Lucic is the face of the franchise so I can't imagine them giving him up.

If they could make a deal for those players, and keep Lucic, well then God help us all.
