Subban's personality and game would be better suited to a small market where he can create excitement and buzz and avoid the scrutiny. Montreal should create a package around Subban to go after Shea Weber.

He's more than fine in Montreal's market, in fact he is perfect for it. I wouldn't create a package around Subban for Shea Weber, what's the point? (oh, right, the one I just refuted)

In what world is Gardiner better than Phaneuf or Subban. You could even make the case that Kulemin is better than Gardiner. The kid has one mighty good year and THATS IT. Anyone who thinks that Gardiner is better than Phaneuf and Subban are terribly overrating Gardiner.

Why shop Subban? Makes zero sense. If a team came forward with a proposal, it's MB's duty to listen.
If a team was interested and made an offer for Subban, it more likely to be a sideway move for both team.
For example, the Oilers' defensive depth is mute while the Habs have decent depth. On offense, the Oilers are strong mainly due to the 3 1st overall pick and Montreal is relatively weak up front. So that would be PK for????Hall or RNH or Yakupov.

Subban plays incredibly tough minutes and drives possession. He's physical and strong, great offensively and good defensively. There aren't many young defensemen I'd take over him. I think Pietrangelo, Karlsson, McDonagh, and OEL cover it. Subban is phenomenal.
Any sensible Leafs fan would trade Gardiner for Subban AINEC. I would trade a potential really good defenseman for an already really good defenseman. It would be the same thing as the following scenario. Would I trade stock A that is worth 40 dollars and has the chance to be worth 100 dollars for a stock that is already worth 100 dollars.

That's like on Kristo + Tinordi + 1st + Kaberle for Karlsson and an Ottawa fan said "where do I sign?" levels of stupidity.
Why would we trade all that for a forward?

Not taking sides here, but usually refuting and argument involves, you know, evidence, and not just making a statement that is opposite of the first.

This is coming from who Patrick Caisse? The same retard who said the Habs had acquired Frolov 2 years ago

Anything is possible but the way Bergevin talked about Price and Subban I doubt he would want to move either

The evidence is that he is a fan favourite, I thought that was obvious.

The Habs are not shopping Subban. He's going to be a Hab for a long time, like it or not.

these threads are pointless, he has more value to Montreal than what team would offer for him, so hes a keeper.

I find Subban extremely over-rated but I think that Montreal trading him would be foolish on their part.

Subban is overrated because everything he does, good or bad, is overblown way out of proportion.

But speaking strictly of his ON-ICE abilities...I actually would venture to say he's quite underrated.
