Reimer.

1) Younger
2) Had similar stats in the AHL as Scrivens (on a worse AHL team)
3) Has proved more in the NHL.

If we get rid of Reimer and keep Scrivens I'd be flabbergasted.

If the team is losing one it is because Luongo has been traded for in which case I don't really care.

It was the Monster who got screwed by Allaire, since he wasn't a butterfly goalie. Reimer on the other hand is.

I'd want to keep both but if I were to choose between the two, then Reimer.

I hope we can snag Jonathan Bernier from the LA Kings.

Bernier/Reimer > Bernier/Scrivens > Reimer/Scrivens

If it were only as simply as a bunch of ">"

Acquiring Bernier likely has us shipping out a really good prospect, or 1st round pick, and isn't that great an upgrade in the short-term, me thinks.

Anyway, I vote to keep both (Reimer as starter), unless we're acquiring a veteran back-stop to shoulder the load -- in which case I'd still keep Reimer.

It's not that simple but Bernier is without a doubt the best talent of the 3.

We need to keep both. The Leafs are in no position to trade NHL ready prospects right now.

Yea, but I still have my doubts about him becoming that great tender.

At the end of the day I think it's difficult to develop any young goalie in the pressure-cooker that is Toronto. When was the last time we had a great goalie that was developed strictly by the Maple Leafs organization? At least Reimer has Jesus on his side when things go awry between the fans and the team

James Reimer is a Leaf drafted developed player, and we don't have very many of those to cheer on that are home grown.

He is a class act, strong morals and has shown some real promise that he could be developed into an NHL regular..

I've been a Reimer fan since the start when drafted. So if I had to pick one it would be Reimer time for me. He is one of my favourite Leaf players.

Ideally it be a Reimer/Bernier tandem that carries the Leafs forward.

I think scrivens could be better soon.
Really worry about reimer's glove hand.
I would keep both for at least one more year and give em both time until we can make a more informed decision.

Reimer is my favorite Leaf on the team. Down to earth, hard working, motivated and a role model.

I really hope he works out for the Leafs..he has the skills to be ~Top 12 goalie. We don't need an elite goalie. If he doesn't, I'll still cheer for the guy if he's playing on another NHL team.

Just need to play sound defense in front of our goalies.

1) Younger is not always automatically better, especially with goalies who tend to break out right around Scrivens' age.
2) 44 games in the AHL over 3 seasons vs. Scrivens 72 games over two seasons, Leading the Marlies to the Calder cup final in the latter season.
3) Scrivens hasn't really gotten his shot in the NHL yet. Reimer has had one good stretch of games as a rookie.

It seems to me like Leaf fans tend to be pinning their hopes on Reimer's poor play being attributed to injury. That could be the case but it seems like wishful thinking. Besides Reimer's had injuries throughout his career, poor guy can't stay healthy.

If it were to come down to picking between the two I go with Scrivens personally.

If i have to pick... easily Reimer. Do i want both of them in the organization? Yes. Do i want both of them together in the NHL? No. Give scrivens another year with the Marlies behind a weaker defense core and we will get a better idea what kind of goalie he is.

I voted to keep both, but I am all for moving one of them if it means getting some established goaltending help.

Well it's looking like a 90% chance we start with both but if I had to pick, Reimer. Younger and he's proven more at the NHL level, even if it's not much.

Both but if they had to trade one I would keep Scrivens. Reminds me of the Pogge/Rask situation where everyone was so high on Pogge.
