http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-all-on-video/

All he has been charged with is Refusing Arrest.

Wonder what the video's show.

Every football player has been arrested at least once, right?

Seems that way; just wouldn't be the same old NFL off season without arrests.

Its a prerequisite to staying with the NFL.

Of course, OJ's arrest in the LA Area will always be the most memoriable.

Arrested for resisting arrest? I'm not sure how that makes sense. Wouldn't there have to be a reason for being arrested in the first place?

I came into this thread half expecting it to be the other Adrian Peterson for no other reason than it would be a funny bait title.

Adrian Peterson's arrest is 10th in last 18 months and 39th since 2000 for #Vikings -- more than any NFL team during either span
At least we lead the league in something.

Very disappointing news. I didn't expect something like this from AP. Apparently he shoved an off duty police officer and then resisted arrest.

Club manager said he was wasted and very difficult to deal with last night

Says he has been to club before and never acted like that before. Saying he was always pleasent to deal with in past

Either way ,, Vikes seem to be a complete trainwreck at this point both on the field and off

Amazing they were on verge of SB just a few years ago

Even though he was wasted and difficult to deal with, I bet he still took his money and fed him drinks.

It's gotten so bad in Minnesota that the Lions and Bengals are laughing at us.

Such a moron. A person in his position should not be at a club at two a.m. getting smashed.

An ongoing study conducted by the San Diego Union Tribune found that about one of every 45 players have been arrested since 2000, a number well below the national average of one in 23 persons released by the FBI in 2010.

That's around 2 percent of the player population, a figure similar to the rate of offenders in Major League Baseball, a sport with far less of an image problem (at least in terms of criminal behavior), and sizably lower than the NBA. An analysis done by Minneapolis television station WCCO in October found that over 5 percent of pro basketball athletes in the United States had been in trouble, with MLB coming in at 2.1 percent

The more and more I think about this, the more it sucks.
This is the last person on the Vikes I would have expected to get arrested.

Considering the fact that pretty much every NFL player could be considered wealthy, that number is still ridiculously high.

I'd like to see what the crime rate is among citizens with an average income above $100,000 and compare the figures.

considering that, outside sports, most people that make over $100,000 do not make that amount at age 21, it would be comparing apples and oranges.

Well it already is anyway so they may as well just blow them all up. The studies, not the players.

The fact that he resisted and couldn't break free makes me skeptical of this.

Why? He was with his girlfriend and some family and a silly situation escalated either due to too many drinks or an over zealous cop. Too say an athlete can't go out with friends and family in the off season is moronic, we don't even know if he was smashed.

Nothing good comes from being at a nightclub at two in the morning. There is just no reason for him to put himself in that situation.

Does this open the door for possible suspension at hands of Roger Goodell?

Doubtful, unless he's convicted. No prior offenses, other than speeding tickets.

He shouldn't put himself in the position to begin with but the whole thing seems fishy. How do you get arrested for resisting arrest? Wouldn't you have to be getting arrested for something else to even have the opportunity to resit arrest?

A suspension may be beneficial to the Vikes though, so he aint rushed back to early.
