If they hold on to the rest of the Rochester group Vanek,Pominville,Stafford, Miller, hold on to Erhoff,Ott and Gerbe. The 08-09's mature as expected Myers,Ennis,Hodgson,Adam,Mcnabb,Foligno. Then get strong rookie or 2nd year performances from Grigorenko,Girgensons,Armia, and Pysyk. It will be the most accumulated talent since 05-06. All of the young players are low risk prospects (IMO) and should live up to expectations.
Its the ability to bring multiple age groups of talent together at once. That gap 05-06-07 of not drafting top notch skater talent has been holding them back.
Most of that will depend on how well Ennis, Foligno and Hodgson do this season. If they progress, they'll have some good talent going into the following season. I don't see Armia here in 13-14 either way, but Grig/Girg/Pysyk most likely will be.

Why no armia? I think he would have a shot at making it THIS year if he was over here

Let's not get carried away, he's still a work in progress.
There are other elite European prospects that have shown much more than he has and they weren't ready this early, so he's not either.
He has the tools but he's not there just yet.

And just like the Girgensons thread... There are some that just don't accept that answer.
Armia looks awesome. But he still needs seasoning...

There's no way he'd be playing here this season even if he could. He'll be in Europe for this season and will most likely start 13-14 in Rochester. He could play here as a call up, but I doubt he starts the season in Buffalo unless he has a ridiculous year in the SM-I this season.
I agree he likely isnt ready for this yet but I think he's more ready than grigorenko. I'm 90% sure after one more year of seasoning he will be NHL ready for the 13-14 season

I think he'll have a shot in training camp...but if he does go to Rochester, he might not be there the full season.

This is what I'm thinking. Depending on how he does this year, both on ice and in getting more physically ready, I think he'll have a decent shot out of camp next year to make the Sabres. If he starts in Rochester (whether it's just Buffalo erring on the side of caution, or he needs to adjust more to the smaller rinks, or isn't strong enough, or whatever), I think he'll be high on he call-up list.
